I've just listed some new supported spindle bowls and a couple of medieval style spindle whorls over on Etsy.
The spindle bowls are in Olive Ash, Zebrano, and an unknown up-cycled hardwood (the reddish brown one).
The whorls are spalted Beech.

If you haven't seen it before, here's an example of my portable niddy noddy design.
As you can see, it can be assembled as either a 2 yard, 1.5 yard, or 1 yard and beaks down in to 5 pieces for easy storage and transport.
The pieces slot together on tapered joints, which makes for a nice firm fit.
... This particular example is made from a single piece of slightly spalted and coloured Beech.
£65.00 (GBP) plus postage.

More medieval style spindle sticks, in the making...
When I first started making these I didn't think that I'd be making a handful almost every day. :)

Two new supported spindles.
Both have a Maple whorl and a titanium tip. One has a Cherry shaft and the other, a Pear shaft.

Turning tiny beads on a hand distaff... It's so easy to get a catch doing these, and because they're so small it's almost always iretreivable when it happens.
