Local shopping/pick up opportunity!
With the bar now closed for the foreseeable future, Jack and the team from @farmco.wales will be using Nomad bar & kitchen on a Tuesday and Friday as the main pick up point for your local/sustainable produce.
There is a massive selection of items on the website to be ordered from local producers and growers as well as organic produce from further afield, get orders in before Wednesday evening to collect at your alloted time this Friday!

Thanks for the idea!
Firstly, thank you to everyone for all the support you have shown to us over the last few days, it’s mega to know that we part of a community that cares so much ✊.
There has been a glimmer of hope this week from the Chancellor, though, we are still unsure about the details and the future.
... Following a meeting with our amazing team, we have decided to try to keep things ticking over long enough to find out exactly what’s going on. So, we will be opening up this Friday & Saturday evening to serve take away foods, wine and beer.
The menus and prices have been tweaked a little with the addition of three pasta dishes and a platter meal for two with wine!
The idea is:
* Call the bar between 5-10pm to order * Arrange a time to call down to collect * Pay on card when you arrive (or over the phone) * Take your food, wine and beer home to enjoy!

So…. As a result of the address from the PM yesterday, we have spent pretty much all of the last 24hrs deliberating how best to deal with the advice given.
It’s been a really tough decision to make considering the potential impact on such a small business and team, but we have decided to close our doors, at very least for a few days.
We love this place, and our staff, so we are going to try to continue trading in some way, shape or form over the next few weeks (suggestions w...elcome!). Please, keep an eye on our social media (Facebook and Instagram) for updates.
All we can say for sure is that we have uncertain times ahead and we are concerned for our loved ones, staff and community. Stay safe guys 🤘🏽

* * * Coronavirus Update * * *
As a hospitality retailer we are held to an extremely high set of regulations regarding cleanliness and personal hygiene by the government and will continue to follow these as they change over the coming months.
We have updated our operational procedures within the last week to include sanitising all areas of high footfall and touchpoints on a regular basis using commercial grade disinfectants throughout opening hours with a ‘deep clean’ of al...l areas undertaken each day. Knifes and forks will now be taken off tables and given to customers upon ordering foods.
As a company we will do our very best to try to ensure our customer and staff safety and to attempt to continue with business as usual for the foreseeable future, though, there are many unpredictable months ahead.
With regard to visiting the premises, we have advised all staff who have even the smallest of symptoms to stay at home and to ‘self-isolate’ and we advise our clientele to do the same.
The coming months will inevitably have an impact on a small community led business such as ours and we would like to thank everyone who has supported us so far. We will do our very best to stay open and to keep the bar as virus free as possible.

Cinema Room/Fireplace/The Back Room ... no matter what you call it, we all agree it’s the cosiest spot in our place!
Our lovely cinema seats, a rare find and a real piece of local history we managed to purchase some from Theatr Elli, Llaneli, during their refurbishment.
The fireplace? We discovered this by chance after noticing a crack appear in the wall during our renovation. With plans to just repair, we were given hints there might be a fireplace hidden beneath the plast...er. After a lot of chiselling, we found a real beauty of a centre piece. Plans to install a log burner are still on the cards 👀🙌🏽
Enjoy a couple of glasses of great wine and a bite to eat in this lovely room 🍷🍴

At Nomad, we’re often asked where we find and source such unique produce that make our dishes taste that extra little bit special. How did we come across Hones Toil? On an adventure to collect our tables and chairs in Dorset, we stopped in a small little delicatessen on the edge of the town and this excellent olive oil stood out for us. The oil is made in Messinia, Greece by Tom and his family with the olives from their grove and from a handful of their neighbours. The oliv...es are hand picked, supporting small-scale farmers and the traditional Greek harvest. The oil is extra-virgin, cold pressed, unfiltered, unblended and bursting with the amazing flavour of koroneiki olives.
