North Wales International Music Festival Description

A classical music festival featuring world-class performers in the intimate setting of St Asaph Cathedral 16th - 30th September 2017.

Founded by William Mathias, and now in its 46th year, the North Wales International Music Festival is a classical music festival featuring world-class performers in the intimate setting of St Asaph Cathedral.

We see the educational element of the festival as vitally important. One of our Festival aims is to foster appreciation, understanding and enjoyment of classical music amongst as wide as possible a cross-section of the communities of North Wales. One of the ways in which we do this is through our series of educational programmes, working with schools across North Wales to provide a different type of experience and activity to that which can be provided by the individual schools.

We also hold a community tour every year taking classical music to those who may not otherwise get the opportunity to hear live performances by professional musicians.
