Northern Ireland Traditional Karate Federation was set up in 1991 as part of the United Kingdom T. K. F. The aims of this organisation are to promote the Shotokan style of karate in N. I. We aim to provide the very best instructors and to create opportunities for karate students to train and compete, locally, nationally and internationally. Our chief instructor is Mr Kawasoe Masao sensei a world renouned instructor who travels extensively teaching karate throughout Europe and beyond. Mr Kawasoe provides teaching courses and gradings in N. Ireland three times each year. We have a number of clubs across the north of Ireland.
