About Nsa Afan
NSA Afan is a member led, community based regeneration organisation that is a Company Limited by Guarantee, (3674953) and a Registered Charity, (1088934) and it is governed by a Board of Director Trustees.
Nsa Afan Description
The purpose of the organisation is to support regeneration to enable a better quality of life for people living in the most disadvantaged communities in Neath Port Talbot. Its area of benefit is Wales. It is the Lead Delivery Body for the Sandfields Aberavon Communities First Cluster, the Grant Recipient Body for a number of grants, the Lead Sponsor for an ESF project and currently employs 40 people.
The activities and projects currently run by NSA Afan are:
NSA Afan STRIDES - A project delivering OCN qualifications to unemployed or economically inactive people from Neath Port Talbot with an aim of getting people into employment or further learning.
NSA Afan Development Centre - A project offering courses in the community, ranging from degrees to OCNs.
NSA Afan PCCARE - An ICT project offering ICT training, maintenance /repairs ICT and recycling.
NSA Afan Multi Use Games Area - An outdoor sports facility, with open access for people in the community. We offer sports coaching one evening a week, to engage with young people from the area.
NSA Youth- Youth club in Aberavon open two evening a week for young people aged 11-25.
NSA Development Centre Youth Club - Youth Club in Sandfields East open two evenings a week for young people aged 11-25.
NSA Afan Community Employment Academy– Funding has been recently secured from the Big Lottery Community Asset Transfer Fund to develop Dalton Road Community Centre into this new project that will help unemployed and economically inactive people re-train and look for employment opportunities. The Academy will also house all the community activities the community centre did previously.
NSA Afan Employability Centre – a project in the heart of Neath town centre offering employment support to those that are unemployed /economically inactive.
NSA Afan catering – NSA Afan have a cafe at Sandfields comprehensive School for participants on NSA Afan STRIDES courses. We also provide buffets for local organisations.

Could you save a life if you needed too? How do you do first aid on children? Work or volunteer with children or just for home. Learn the skills for general first aid and specific to children on the forthcoming course with NSA Afan (Community Development Centre, Sandfields). Everyone over 16 is welcome.
