*WHITE GOODS APPEAL*
We are waaaay low on stock for our white goods at the moment and we really, really need your help to make sure we can keep furnishing homes with the essential items people need.
We urgently need Fridge Freezers, Washing Machines and Electric Cookers.
... We can coordinate with you to collect the old appliance as the new one arrives and you'll be saving the removal cost, protecting the environment and changing a life.

We were devastated to hear that Cadwyn Housing lost a much loved and dedicated member of staff very recently.
Debbie was tirelessly committed to fighting the impact of homelessness on families through the work she did and her family feel that it is only fitting that the donations made in her memory go to CWTCH Baby Bank South Wales reg Charity no 1166744
Cwtch is a phenomenal charity that recycles good quality baby items and gives them to families in need.

Another #meettheteammonday
Every Monday we like to let you know about one of the brilliant volunteers who keep us going with all there hard work. This is Nathan who's been working with us for the last 3 years. If you've been down to the store it's likely Nathan's been the first one to say hello and show you around the project.
Nathan said "I always look forward to coming down to nulife, there's great people to work with and lots to do and learn. It's made a big difference to... my life. I've been shown how to do safety tests on electronics, and work on the phones. Working on the shop floors been a great experience, it's made me much more settled, and it's giving me the skills to get a payed job in the future."

Yesterday was Global Recycling Day!
And we're posting this today! Because Ben thought it had uploaded! And it hadn't!
In honuor of Global Recycling Day Alex took on the task of making a birdhouse, from scratch and made entirely from salvage timber in one afternoon.

This beauty is going out to a customer today. She fell in love with it when she saw it but sadly it had a few nasty scratches on the top and one of the drawers was a little bit loose. We’ve sanded out the scratches and glued the drawer so it’s ready to go! It’s going to be a great upcycling project and we can’t wait to see the results!

It’s #meettheteammonday!
You hear a lot about the amazing work we do here at Nulife, but we also want you to hear about the amazing people doing the work. This is Richard he's been putting a shift in at NuLife for over three years! You might have met him if you’ve had our van come around to collect some furniture, or if you’ve popped down to our store. We caught up with Richard to find out a bit about his time here, he said; “I love coming down to meet and work with different people. I like that I help people and have learnt a lot doing the job. In the workshop I’ve learnt how to make bird boxes, and for Christmas I made a mirror to give to my mum and dad. I keep a diary every day I come down, and have filled up three already.”

After a really successful week last week, we’ve been able to make some space in the warehouse ready for the next lot of deliveries. Don’t forget to think about us when you’re looking to get rid of something that might be of use to someone else. Or even if you’re thinking of buying a new piece of furniture yourself!
