Oakwood Theme Park

Good day out but pricey for a family. Food and drink expensive. The queuing area for giant peach ride is ridiculous, very long and boiling hot waiting inside a giant fiberglass peach. Not worth the wait anyway. Needs air-conditioning or something. Speed ride is absolutely mental! And amazing. Advice- get there early, take packed lunch and avoid the peach if queue is even half way.

We came here on a Sunday in October and it was so quiet! We got around the whole park really quickly which was nice because we didn't have to queue for anything. Some of the park really could do with a revamp and a lick of paint, it's a bit run down in some areas of the park. We paid the extra (£30 per ride for up to 3 people - 2 of us so £15 each) to do vertigo and it was well worth it, such a great experience! (You also save money on the park tickets if you book online)

Oakwood park is very expensive. I'd advise you only go of you have discount coupons or free tickets. I love Oakwood but the price doesn't give it justice. The food there is pants. Payed around £9 for burger and chips. Not good quality at all. Not in any sort of way. It's time to out some good food there !
The rides are great and the park is clean. Toilets everywhere

Great family day out!

It Was nice and quiet so there were no queues and got told it doesn't get much busier! Great for kids and adults alike. Although not a lot for adrenaline junkies but enough to keep you happy too.
I would totally recommend this for a family day out. Its got great scenery, plenty of picnic areas and good variety.

A fantastic day out. Park was extremely quite which is a shame but all staff were very friendly and helpful. Only drenched was closed until 2pm when it did then open. We took our own food so can't comment on quality of food however prices did seem a bit high for what was on offer. The park has had some basic work done to it since my last visit a few years ago. Although more is needed to improve the overall appearance of the park. With a new area and roller coaster due to open later this year hopefully there will be a increase in guest numbers. Overall a great visit with lots of rides due to no queues. The annual pass is a fair price for what's on offer and after 4-5 visits the cost of the pass has been covered. With the new A road built nearby getting to the park is much easier.

Woeful. It had been ten years since my previous visit and, nostalgia aside, this place has gone way downhill. As alluded to by others, several rides (including Drenched, Treetops, the pirate ship and others) were closed temporarily. One (Bounce) was closed permanently but had been left to accumulate lichen and dead leaves, much like other parts of the park (a caretaker might be a good move!). In addition to being disappointing, this meant that queues for outdated, low-adrenaline rides like the bobsleigh were also too long. ONE food outlet was open and sold less-than-appetising burgers or nothing. Against this backdrop, it is very hard indeed to justify the £26 entry fee for all aged over 12. Save your hard-earned cash.

We visited today and were so glad we had Tesco vouchers and didn't have to pay. A lot of the rides were closed or delayed opening. It's looking run down in a lot of areas now too. The children enjoyed anyway.

I come here every year for my birthday and I love it. The rides are great but a lot of the time the same rides are closed! Whenever I go bounce is always closed. Speed and megafobia are my favourites, they're great fun! I definitely think they need some new rides,
especially thrill rides. Is a little bit overpricey but i think it's worth it for the fun experience. I only go there in Summer and they usually have amazing shows occurring and fireworks displays.
