We called in today for afternoon tea and all I can say is WOW!! Bacon and brie sandwiches, chicken, stuffing and cranberry, various DELICIOUS scones, jams, cream and traybakes...the most delicious afternoon tea I've ever had and that includes tea at the Merchant, an amazing little gem and we will be back!!

Was in for my first visit today. Was warmly greeted by fort of house staff and though we came in as a big party of 4 adults and 4 kids were accommodated immediately. The waiting staff were exceptionally good and the lady who I assume was the manageress excellent at their jobs. The menu was different but completely fulfilling. Thanks for a lovely meal and the kids loved the library and gnome bathroom.

User

Really enjoyed my visit here, it's really quirky with good food and friendly service! Love the extra touches like the books and toys to keep my two year old occupied!

User

OMG I've just had the most amazing latte from you guys. And the cupcakes my friend and I loved them. They were so big too. And the customer service well a pardon the pun but it speaks for itself. Will be a regular from now on xx

I visited the Olive Bizarre on Sunday for the second time. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had to sit outside as we had our dog with us and one waitress brought him out fresh water. We ordered sandwiches and tea which were delicious. The cafe itself is very quirky and cute. I loved everything about this hidden gem in Newcastle.

User

I love this quirky wee cafe facing harbour in Newcastle Co Down. My friend Ruth & I have visited before and loved it, great cakes. Today's Ruth's lunch was soup & lovely bread finished off with Victoria sponge & hot chocolate. I had missed breakfast so had sausage, eggs & toast followed my sweet mince pie & cream. Great coffee. All lovely warm & beautifully presented. Worth a visit

User

Had a lovely lunch food was outstanding and also the customer service was great we were even offered hot water bottles to keep us warm as we had been out on a long run beforehand and were freezing. Can’t wait to go back again.

User

Best sandwich I've ever eaten (bacon, Brie and relish) full to the brim but not sloppy and packed with flavour and texture! Would prefer a cardboard takeaway box not polystyrene though please

User

A rare treasure nestled up Newcastle Harbour. The place is quirky, the food is delicious with many twists and the staff very accommodating. There is a wee library area for kids which my son loves. Even the toilet is magical.....check it out, you have to see to believe!

User

A cute and boutiquey cafe with amazingly delicious food!!!! Vegan Mexican wrap was unbelievable!!!! Nothing like tea in a good old fashion pot and hand knitted cosy!!! 5 stars!!

User

Sometimes it's not always about when someone gets it right that you should review, but when things don't go quite to plan. Had a lovely lunch here today, however there was a problem with one of the meals. The staff were lovely. They replaced the meal and couldn't have been sweeter. Great customer service is everything. Lovely place. Lovely staff. Lovely food.

User
