Called in Sunday night had a pint of magners and a gin and tonic came to 6.80. Went back up for a pint and a gin no tonic 7.05. Apart from the prices charged by different staff seems a nice place.

Love this place always makes me feel welcomed and are understanding I have a gluten allergy. I've had no issues and the people here are friendly.

Slightly more expensive than the spoons across the road but you're paying for a nicer atmosphere and live performances

Went here on a Sunday night for their regular live mic night with their regular house band. The music was really good, the stuff you can sing along to. Loads of choices of beer, craft beer, cider and a decent choice in the menus . Staff are always happy to suggest a good pint. Definitely recommend.

Another Mitchelle and butler pub. I personally wouldn't advise eating and don't want to up the pictures, high chairs and stuck with old food and don't pay wages to staff.have to ring Birmingham constantly.they broke TUPE contact. The beers are very expensive and a lot of people don't drink in there. Upstairs is just a waste as could be used as a second floor on student nights which is the only time it's packed except on international football/rugby but will end up with a bad belly where pipes are not cleaned. Feet sticks to wood flooring. They have tables outside o St Mary's st entrance in the shade for hot days.

Getting told to "get the F out" by a staff member who claimed to be the manager who was clearly in over his head was unacceptable. A simple misunderstanding on the amount of drinks that had been ordered could have been easily resolved by someone with an ounce of managerial skills. Instead we were forced to purchase 3 extra drinks that we didn't want as the so called manger kept the 9 drinks we had already paid for behind the bar until we forked out for the 3 that we didn't want. Terrible terrible service. Unfortunately I didn't get the member of staffs name and I can only imagine he was a supervisor of sorts but when I asked to see the manager he said it was him. this is being taken further as we were forced to finish an unsafe amount of alcohol in a very short period of time. Luckily I am able to handle my drink but if someone maybe a little younger with a lower tolerance was forced to consume that amount of alcohol it could have been a different story.terrible and unacceptable practices being carried out by a large company that should know better

Had a refurb in spring 2017... and looks like every other bar, artisan filament bulbs, exposed bricks etc. Burgers, pizzas and steaks on the menu, lots of fizzy beer on keg and 4 cask ales on (3 Brains) during my visit. It's a perfectly fine, clean bar - there's a lot worse in the city centre. A lager and a cider =£8
