Was so glad to find this place after a car ran over my wheel and left me a bit stranded. They got me fitted with a new tyre and wheel super fast and super cheap. Ended up getting some mud guards and a bell while I was there, so friendly and helpful was the owner! Highly recommend this place.

What a great place! Got a great deal on a second-hand bike, which I bought as a present for someone and after riding it all day now quite want it for myself... (£95 for a hybrid which easily overtook several expensive racing bikes on the way home). The owner is super friendly and not at all condescending like some bike mechanics can be; I feel like I trust this place not to overcharge me or try to sell me parts I don't need. Very fast and pleasant customer service for very low prices. I shall be returning here whenever I need bike repairs in the future!

This is a wonderful shop and one which performs an extremely valuable service for the community: refurbishing used bikes and making them available for reasonable prices. Be a green biker and avoid buying a new bike when a used on will do.

In 3 months I have bought 2 bikes from here, the first one i took back after 2 weeks as the left gear was completely rusted which he realised and took it out completely and replaced it (shouldn't have been in that condition when given to me) 6 weeks later i was back again as the inside spindle was screeching and completely broken. This occurred whilst I was cycling!!! I then did a trade in so he gave me another bike to replace the broken one and the VERY NEXT DAY whilst i was cycling uphill, the gears were slipping and I nearly had an accident! I took it to Cyclopedia on Whitchurch road just to see if they could shed any light on the situation, as by this point i thought, maybe its me?! The guy took one look at it, and asked me who on earth had put the chain system on it as it was completely the wrong one for that bike and that the whole chain system (front and back) needed to be replaced! I am so disappointed and will never be returning to this place! Please take extra care, especially if you are buying a bike for a child! I am 31 and nearly had an accident on 2 of these bikes!!!!!!!!

Great expertise and very trustworthy. Purchased a bike and returned after a week with a gear shifting issue - they replaced them and I was back home within the hour (no fee).

I took in a bike in need of some TLC just before Christmas, and was persuaded to upgrade rather than have it repaired. Big mistake of mine: looking at the bike outside the shop in near darkness. I rode the short distance home, and put the bike in the garage for two months (I am not a regular cyclist). With the arrival of good weather I took a proper look at the bike in daylight and have now ridden it twice in the last week (the first times). I decided to return it as a rusty battered heap with moveable handlebars that nearly got me killed on second use. Tyres were also so old that the front one is cracked and near perished. Response from the owner was terrible, claimed not to remember me at all (very hard to believe) and that as it was my bike it was now (less than three months after purchase) my problem. He suggested that the bike was not like that when I bought it. Poor attitude - unhelpful in the extreme. I shall not be going back and will spread the word locally. You live and learn, over £50 wasted - but I just left the bike there rather than take it home. The owner clearly needs some lessons in customer relations and service.

Very friendly and knowledgeable owner. Had a minor issue with the chain of a bike I bought and the owner honoured the warranty despite me having forgotten my receipt at home and him not having sold me the bike personally (an assistant that was not there on my return sold it to me). Owner went out of his way to help me fix up several other minor issues with the bike. I can definitely recommend Outdoor Cycles if you are looking for a second hand bike or a handy bike mechanic.
