There's grey stuff in the sky and moisture in the air............ What happened to the heatwave?
Better late than never........... Here's this weekends cake pictures
Perfect cool breeze, glorious sunshine and some pretty toys in the car park. My perfect Sunday π
There's alot of glorious blue sky again. Wales is blessed with the roads, the scenery and the weather.
More cakes, new cakes (including the superb profiteroles mont blanc Gateau and bannoffee pie) and old favourites.
The awesome guys up at St Michael hospice charity riders would like to invite everyone to their inaugural Rideout.
Over the years the charity of bikers has raised hundreds of thousands for the vital hospice. An amazing bunch of characters and phenomenal example of bikers and the efforts they make for those needing the services of St Michaels hospice.
Cloud spotting day two. Definitely more clouds out there today..........
2000 miles in under 48 hours, off to Llandovery Motorbike Weekend to make the presentation of the money they've raised
Oh no there's a threatening cloud π
Saturday morning and still no clouds π
Late cake shots but with the new white chocolate and Strawberry cheesecake, watermelon sponge cake and the return of the sticky chocolate orange cake it's worth the wait ππ
Exceptional weather in Wales again. A glorious start to the weekend. Ride safe all and enjoy.
Not a cloud out there. Wales at its finest.
Setting off yesterday (Saturday) morning from the Owl's nest the Household Division Motorcycle Club on it's nearly 2000 miles in 72 hours ride to raise money for the Llandovery Motorbike Weekend and West Wales action for mental health. They will travel to John OβGroats and then to Lands End before returning to Carmarthenshire.
You see the best vehicles at the owl's nest..........
Sunny start to a Sunday morning
Cakes are ready for another weekend in the exceptional Welsh Sunshine.
Wonderful place, been visiting for 4 years on the bike and the customer service is second to none.
Delicious cakes, (try the egg custard!)
Tasty food and a great atmosphere.
We stopped here after a long walk through the nearby forest as we were camping Erwlon and our friend had eat here a little while ago, awesome place, the bikers here were pleasant, the guy running it was soooo helpful, I had a NOT so small breakfast ( there was a choice to have a BIG breakfast don't think I would have managed it lol) My partner had a steak, mushroom and cheese baguette, omg it was huge, and Coffee for a Β£1 What ? Bloody lovely u would never get a decent cup of coffee anywhere at that price, quality coffee and food at a very reasonable price.
We had been driving round for ages until we spotted the signpost and it was almost with trepidation that we approached the door; thankfully finding it open. We were served quickly and patiently as hubby couldn't make his mind up which cake to have. The owner or manager took time to talk to us which was really welcoming especially as I'm very self conscious. We will definitely be back π
Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Good no nonsense food at sensible prices.
Popular with motorcyclists.

Not been to Owl's Nest for a few years since selling my road bike, out and about today so decided to pop in for a bite to eat, can't fault it in any way. Good food, good prices and friendly service from Ian and his team, can't ask for any more than that. Looking forward to the next visit!

Great place for a bite to eat. Plenty of scenery, plenty of bikes (great if bikes are your thing, but don't let it put you off if you're not into bikes). The views are stunning and the staff are exceptionally friendly - as were the many visitors ,highly recommend and great cake !
Great breakfast and coffee but I'm old fashion I like marmalade with my toast and they didn't have any shame
Good quality food, staff are very friendly and plenty of fellow bikers to chat with. Oh and usually some cracking bikes to admire. Since calling in there while on a ride out a couple of years ago I have been a regular visitor.
Good friendly staff .. good selection of grub and ice cold coke which was much required yesterday π
Friendly welcome, with good coffee and cake.
First time to this neck of the woods and needed a pit stop for food (breakfast), drink & loo before runs up/down the Black Mountain Road with a couple of friends in our modded limited edition MINIs. What a find!!! Fantastic Breakfast Roll amongst other choices. Perfect latte too. Good amenities and friendly staff made this stop off a big part of our day as we revisited later in the day after much driving fun. Great place for petrol-heads to watch an amazing array of bikes and cars coming and going. Special thanks to Ian for info on the area and loan of scissors to cut GoPro from my front grill οΏ½ We will be back!
First time for me to go to the owl's nest cafe.
