Went for a long weekend was great has always excelled in all aspects of the break wonderful reception staff to welcome you and bar staff shop staff every one was great

User

We stayed here may bank holiday, the staff were amazing let us check in 2 hours early as the caravan was ready, whilst here we booked to come back at the end of the month for the next bank holiday, would have thought a discount would have been given as we was already staying but that aside I couldn’t fault it.

User

Me and my 3 kids have had a great time here and the lovely warm welcome and met some lovely people and made some forever friends xxx

Just got home from another lovely holiday at palins 2nd year running and will be booking again. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely man who booked us into our gold caravan very promptly caravan was lovely all beds made ready for us caravan was lovely and clean beautiful caravan. All the staff were very friendly. Maintance staff were always wondering around tidying and gardening and doing repairs (we didnt need repairs). Reception staff found us a big boots chemists as we couldnt find one in town they were very helpful even giving us directions can't comment on the club as we didnt go but was always busy and had bouncy castles out everyday. The one bad thing was the onsite chippy prices were very high and the food quality had gone down from last year (we went everynight last year) only went once. Tir prince is walking distance great fair you can buy a weeks wristband. Tir prince market is awesome and great value. Altogether we had an amazing time see you again next year

User

Excellent place to stay

We stayed here for a week in a gold 8 berth. The caravan was lovelyvery clean and tidy and the staff are brilliant. The main cleaner is a lovely lady and couldn't fault anything. Our stay was brilliant and the hole family enjoyed the holiday we booked again for next year. Thank you for a lovely break away xx

User

80s-90s weekend was just brilliant, had a fantastic time.recently purchased a caravan on this site and i have to say it was the best choice we made, friendly staff who go above and beyond, nothing is too much trouble,i see alot of negative comments on here, people saying not enough for children to do.arcades closed early etc etc, well in my opinion,i think towyn is a very busy place, you have the fair down the road, you have beaches in walking distance.theres bus stops right outside that can take you into landudno & rhyl, all in all i think palins is a great place to be,best site around towyn 👍

User

The caravan was great but needed mopping before we arrived. we booked holiday for a week from 9/06/2018 to 16/06/2018 the first two days were good with entertainment on then came Monday and nearly every night they closed the camp club so kids couldn't play when they closed the camp club they also closed the arcade so kids had nothing to do after the park had closed. The camp shop was always open and had friendly staff who was always happy to help. Some suggestion for palins start offering free WiFi and then maybe people would stay more and also put plenty of entertainment on it was one of the most boring holiday I have ever been on at palins holiday park. Please bring back the robot from when I was a kid.

User

Just got back from palins. caravan was amazing apart from cups and plates were dirty so had to wash them up before we used them. pool was really good staff were really nice but the entertainment was crap Saturday and Sunday was good but the rest of the week there was nothing for the adults or children and no entertainment. Chip shop was OK but very expensive. The entertainment used to be good when I was younger iv been coming to palins since I was little and I can honestly say I don't think I would come back

User

Very disappointed, first time staying here and will be the last, I understand it isn't main season but it's still June and the weather has been beautiful so we'd expect something to do on the park. Arcade opens and closes as and when it feels like it, the club hasn't opened at all, there's been no bingo or any other form of entertainment. Adults like to do things on holiday too and some prefer to go away when the kids are at school.

The plus sides are that the staff have been very polite and helped with our luggage without us even asking so that was a lovely touch and the breakfasts at the stump & magpie are amazing.

It's just so boring here, sorry but will be going back to our usual place from now on, I wished I never decided to try a different place.

User

I'm here for the easter break I come here every year im so disappointed thus time Saturday night play area closed in the club Saturday day the swimming pool was limited times and limited to so many kids at a time or adults had to swim with kids under certain age even tho they can swim and adults can't we wasn't aloud to just watch if we don't swim they don't swim unfair to say they would have been with older siblings and to top it of as advertised easter activities suddenly the bouncy castle was in for repair no music broken pool table what a joke .just a scam I think to get some costumers to get some money back on what they have updated the outside of the club I personally don't normally have any isue but this time I don't like it one bit

User

Having stayed recently it was clear from check in that the customer service needed some improvement but I let the check in process slide due to it being busy at reception.

Following check in we went to our caravan. First impressions were okay though not up to standard in some areas. There was no sweeping brush in the caravan and despite asking several times it took 3 days to have one delivered to us and the cutlery was dirty as was the jug and some crockery not to mention the broken boards in the lounge area where the fold out bed was located. Regardless we washed the cutlery and crockery before use and got on with it.

The week went on and we used the facilities on the park including the pool. No issues with regards to the pool - it’s a good space but paying for a facility when you’ve paid to stay seems a little outrageous.

Anyway check out was looming. This was a pretty dreadful experience. My sister was in reception advising the staff we were ready to have the caravan checked. The staff in reception radioed through to the housekeeping team as they pulled up to the exit. I heard the call come over the radio. The comments from the housekeeping team that followed not only shocked me but also disgusted me seeing as my stay contributed to their wages. Her comments and I quote “well they’ll just have to wait - I have another van to check out. I’ll get there when I can, plus they should’ve checked out yesterday.” This isn’t the case as you have a choice to stay if booking for the half term week until the Sunday.

The housekeeping team turned up around 15 minutes later who entered the caravan and walked (I use the term loosely) around it. They authorised our deposit return and left.

Needless to say the comments with regards to check out would prompt me to question whether the staff should be in this line of work or whether the check out process should be re-addressed.

Overall a poor experience and having stayed several times I feel this may be the LAST! What we experienced and witnessed was shocking.

Fine for a reasonably priced stay but as they say - “you get what you pay for” which seems to be the case though previous stays had been really good and any minor issues rectified quickly.

User

Booked last minute break. Never stayed on this site.staff were not friendly grouchy miserable lacked good customer service skills. Like retirement village a lot pensioners on site. Site is like stuck in 70 time warp needs updating. I know out of season but everything closed early or not open at all. Pub.need refurbishing disgusting your feet stuck to carpet stopped serving food at 7pm. kitchen grotty looked disgusting.fortunately we brought food if we hadnt we would have been stuck..takeaways etc not open. No shops nearby open. Playground needs updating. Access to Beach is governed by gates which shut certain time. Good 20min or more walk to beach poor mobility it's a tiring trek. Over bridge etc. Beach black sinking mud dangerous. .no fun fair open etc fortunate good weather get out about do things good bus service outside camp. Not much to do for teenagers playground needs refurbishing updating too, boring.i agree Jenny Harris thought more would be open disappointing boring. Owners dogs do not keep dangerous dogs leads etc. One night Staffordshire bull went for me.if it had been my kids I hate to think what would have happened.owner never apologised. I'm sorry I will be not be going back site. Other sites had things open more even in low season.

User

Would be nice to be served a drink instead of being ignored! I was standing in front of the till and three other people that walked to the bar after me got served! I wouldn't mind if it was only one member of staff that was on but there was two and it wasn't exactly busy! One star given for the sheer ignorance. We won't be back, will go somewhere our custom is appreciated.

User

Was supposed to be staying until Saturday but we came home on Tuesday, nothing open and nothing to do, spent how much money and now lost it. Will not be returning again soon, would of had more fun pitching a tent in a field.

User

Me and my family went away Thursday-Sunday we went in a silver 8 birth caravan it was an absolute disgrace so dusty my stepdad has now become poorly as he has asthma and to much dust every where the caravan was damp! Had loads of kids bomb knocking and running off smashing pumpkins all over the holiday camp! And as for the Halloween party friday night that was just a joke! My sister had a new born baby and a 1 year old and you weren’t Evan aloud to take Parma in what a joke! All the plates in the cupboard were dirty all the Cups, bowls etc had to be cleaned before use all the children had to eat before the adults as there wasn’t enough plates bowls cutlery etc! I WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE RECOMMENDING THIS CAMPY TO NOBODY!! Most certainly NOT booking here again!!

Edit: it was caravan number 37!

User

Got there first day and had to clean caravan we were hiring. Stains on bedding, floor and walls. Sheets were as thin as hospital sheets and the beds looked old and uncomfortable, sofa was also uncomfortable and broken cupboards. Club closed at 11pm every night, except for a Saturday night. Glasses from bar were dirty and when I asked for it to be changed, I was given the same glass! Most machines in arcade were also broken. Entertainment was poor and I wouldn’t visit again.

User

Been coming here for years this year has been the worst spose to be gold van nothink like the pictures every think was dirty inside rubbish was left all inside all the plates and cups was all dirty boiler wasn't working all stains over the blankets the kids couldn't play on the park because bigger kids was climing all over it all stopping little kids going on and nothink new on there the swimming pool is boring nothink good in there the slide bruises you for £600 it's definitely not worth it will not be returning next year will go else we're

Was supposed to be staying until Saturday but we came home on Tuesday, nothing open and nothing to do, spent how much money and now lost it. Will not be returning again soon, would of had more fun pitching a tent in a field.
