So very proud to be the venue for the annual Panto here in Chirk. Tonights performance is no 4 of 6 and it really is a treat. Saturday matinee is near to 100% though there are seats tonight and tomorrow evening. Happy St Davids Day and hope you like the new plaque ! John, Ben, Glyn and Shaun.

Feeling warm and cosy at Parish Hall, Chirk, Wrexham this morning after a timely gas-oil delivery from www.quadfuels.co.uk yesterday. Chirk Pre-School Playgroup are pleased and don't forget Clwb Cwtsh who are running Welsh lessons here from 10:15am today for an hour and a half.

Anyone noticed the flag flying over the Parish Hall today ? For the second annual "Fly a flag for the Commonwealth" Chirk Town Council hosted pupils from Ysgol Y Waun and Pentre VA Primary School to take part in the commemoration. Cllr. Frank Hemmings read out a citation and the next big event for the Commonwealth is the Games to be held on the Gold Coast in Australia in a few weeks time. Huge thanks to all our patrons for your understanding over the lack of central heating yesterday. Chirk Pre-School Playgroup for soldiering on and Karate and Tae Kwon Do for higher levels of exertion to keep warm and to the Chirk Karaoke Choir for hitting higher notes !!! In our efforts to avoid a freeze up in our extra large building we kept the boiler ticking over - this in turn saw our gas-oil stock diminish to critical....our new fuel supplier QUAD Heating of Rhosymedre... and Kev Edwards Heating & Plumbing, Black Park saved the day and by 8pm we were up and running and Playgroup were able to open as usual this morning. I would have been gutted if we had to turn away our loyal customers because of the lack of heating. Full delivery of gas-oil made today - QUAD made an emergency delivery to get us running yesterday. Roll on Summer !!

Congratulations to the Pantoholics and their 25th Annual Panto here at the Parish Hall. We are so pleased to be your hosts. Hope the last two performances today go off really well. I am sure Wilf & Pat will be really proud to bow out on such a high !!
