Fantastic tasting menu. Probably the best wine cellar in Wales

Fine dining! Have been here with a group of 30 guests. The service was good and the food was amazing!! I can totally recommend this Restaurant. As soon as you come to the entrance you have to ring a bell to come in - this gives the restaurant a very exclusive image. The athmosphere inside is great!

Went with my wife and a another couple of friends for the taster menu with matching wine. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine, both the waiter and sommelier really knew what they were talking about.

Ok so, we visited again and had the 9 course taster menu. The plate size has decreased immensely one course compromised of two small slices of duck breast on some leaves, I left there feeling hungry, the food was 4 out of 5 but the service brought it down. We had the accompanying wines with the meal which were nice but if we wanted more water to go with the meal it took them a long time to get it and when it arrived the posh bottle only has enough to half fill 4 glasses, for a table of 6 this isn't ideal. The food is brought out with such fake pomp and ceremony that it puts me off asking anything about it. The wine details are good and the chap who makes the cocktails at the end deserves every compliment he got!

Very impressed by the fine dinning experience from the moment we walked in. Intimite setting with comfortable chairs, dedicated and knowledgeable sommelier and maitre d'hotel, and unparallel gourmet courses and pairing of wines. Exceeded our expectations completely. This restaurant is definitely one for celebrations.

Really poor service and value for money. The sommelier (as he wanted be called) just poured all 3 wines, red, white and rosé without first asking if it was acceptable. he didn't show the bottle or ask if a test was required. Then he brought a different bottle of white after 2 bottles of a previous brand had been consumer.

The portions were miniscule. We had to keep our cutlery for both starters and main course as they didn't have enough to go round and no one was asked how they would like their meat cooked.

All in all a positively poor performance in what was otherwise an enjoyable day as the atmosphere and the building was really nice.

Not worth the money sorry.

Really amazing food and the somelier certainly knOWS his stuff but what was truly amazing was the fact that the mixologist was able to match a cocktail to the fabulous deer incredible ( non red wine drinking daughter before you ask!) Fab
