Here at Patrick's Bar and restaurant we serve quality Traditional beer and ales, along with your everyday bitters and lagers, and bottled beers, our Guinness is the Best for Miles around. We are in the Good Beer Guide 2016 so you can check us out.
From May 2016 we have opened our new kitchen and are providing quality food, fresh from our local suppliers. Our meat is not frozen and is 'clean' in that the farm-stock, are not regularly administered or fed antibiotics as a matter of course.
Through the summer while the students are away, we serve food from Thursday and Friday 5pm till 10pm and Saturday and Sunday 12pm till 6pm Sunday Lunch is served from 12pm till 6pm. We take booking for larger groups (8 + ) dinner parties, but let us have fair warning, but you can try your luck.
Anna the wife helps out in the Kitchen and one of her speciality dishes are Skewers both Meat and Vegetarian. We have a number of Veggie dishes and the chip fryer is only used for chips so are safe for the veggie.
We have regular Friday Steak Nights and Curry Nights, but steaks are available on our main menu at all times.

menu is amazing now . food really good and staff are very helpful and nice . would recommend here to anyone looking for a bar meal with a relaxed atmosphere and good old drink . Guinness!!!!
great bar, friendly staff who actually take time to speak to you even when they are busy. Boss man coming to say hello was a bonus - great pub Paddy. Slainte xx
I had the pleasure of calling into Patrick's Bar while on a day trip to Bangor with my dad sister and brother. What can I say but highlight of the trip. Patrick is a pure gentleman and an excellent host. He chatted away to us, made us feel right at home. The pints where lovely and the REAL ale is a must try. Thanks again for the Smirnoff ( ahem ahem lol) if you get a chance it's well worth popping in.
Here this morning to watch the lions game - staff are amazing and welcoming, atmosphere is brilliant. Can't recommend enough.

Excellent pub! Landlord entertaining and very friendly! Real ales £2.50 a pint AND excellent bottle of Rioja for £10.. why go anywhere else?! Defo on top of our favourites list in Bangor! Family from Derbyshire!
Brilliant place. The staff are polite and friendly. The Beer and food is lovely. Can't fault the place 👍🏼
