โ€œAt first I thought I couldnโ€™t do it but then Casey helped me and I was really proud of what I did in the end.โ€ โ€“ Caban Sgriblio Participant
Yet another excellent poetry, rap and spoken word session with Casey Bailey, who traveled from Birmingham last month to work with our group of young people in Brecon. The group spent the day rhyming, writing, creating and sharing their words, helping them gain new skills and confidence.
Since June, the weekly Brecon Caban Sgriblio sessio...ns with artists and writers have allowed young people to explore creative writing, poetry, monographing, ink drawing and more.

Llongyfarchiadau to Rachel Dunlop who was presented with the Marsh Award for Excellence in Gallery Education at the Engage conference in Newcastle Gateshead. Rachel has shown such dedication to her role in working with young people, helping them to develop their skills and confidence through the arts, and we're incredibly proud to have her on the PeakCymru team.

The Hinterlands Wales Autumn Harvest community feast at Pontymoile Basin starts at 12pm today, FREE and open to all. The clay pizza oven is all fired up and ready to go, and we'll have freshly pressed apple juice on hand, too. Diolch yn fawr to everyone who donated their autumn apple crop. See you all later! ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ

Very excited that poet and rapper Casey Bailey will be returning to Brecon to lead a Caban Sgriblio creative writing workshop on Monday 28 October. He will be working with young people to explore their responses to the themes of identity and the environment.
Birmingham-based Casey was recently commissioned by the BBC to write and perform 'The Ballad of The Peaky Blinders', marking the latest season launch of the hit TV show Peaky Blinders.
