Past few weekends I've been making cornice for a local manor house where there we're some peaces missing so had to make everything from the beginning making the template hand filing zink and backing plate making that into the running mold, setting up the bench, running into lengths of cornice prep on the ceilings fit and finish so many hours for just under 5 metres but very satisfying

Made a few lengths today couple more to do then they can be fitted in the manor house

So we are restoring some cornice which has been taken out for some reason hours of work gon in to it so far from template to zink plat wooden plate to running mold and setting the bench up and we almost ready to run

Wood work and wool installation being done and laths going on ready for hemp render

We kept the old wooden beads which are still sound in there original wedges, or dogs, nothing wrong with them at all and can be uesd and still look lovely again

Well we have finished lime was and lime render and lime cast on a gable end been a lovely job but weather been a pain but its dune #heritage #lime #celticsus #restoration

So we doing a lime create floor dig the floor down membrane R F G to the correct level whacker it down membrane over the top ready for lime create

Well work has started on our new job today #heritage #lime mortar

well we had lovely summer repointing this beautiful Manor House for some Wonderful clients , we taken out the cement pointing and the very worn out mortar that remained and repointed it with a hot lime mix

Well we managed to get to wall plate hight, no wall on the back, quarter on the side and front tuns moved and working for a lovely family home owner Oliver was grate at mixing us filled with tea and cakes and of course tony priest just marvales 😊

Good day to day made brilliant progress and tuns moved

We reinstating a barn so enjoying doing some stone work, more photos as we go.

So redoing a lath and plaster ceiling in the master bedroom they would like to have cornice in this room but the ceiling is just too out of level and dipped and bowed so put level batons around then shimed the batons level so now when the cornice goes up it will be correct and easy to install, so it's been lathed and lime hemp plastered up to first scratch coat

So this is the Water damage part of this ceiling so gently cutting around the cornice to tack the damage part of the ceiling down, and the cornice stayed nice and strong so happy with that just the repair to to now

Got the the pleasure of working on this wonderful house there's a lot of work to do on the inside of this house mainly tiyerd ceilings cornice repair as well so we are doing a lath and plaster ceiling and a couple of repairs it's had a new roof put on last year so can now repair the Water damage as well the cleaning below is quite fragile so I made a spring board incase any larger peaces come down
