Fantastic cottage would certainly go there again.
Friendly site, great area, loved our stay, thank you
Not a bad little family owned campsite
The site is ok, but there are health and safety issues.
When taking a shower early in the morning, the electric shower cut out half way through. I was covered in soap from head to foot and in a dangerous and embarrassing situation. I had to rinse the soap off at a hand basin. With a wet tiled floor and soapy feet, I managed to slip over, badly damaging my shoulder. I needed to get to A&E, so at 7:30am repeatedly rang at the farmhouse door. I could hear the TV, but nobody answered. I got an answer at 9am, but the lady wouldn’t listen to me, she just kept telling me that she 'only worked there'. She then pointed to a gentleman across the yard, telling me to talk to him as he was the owner. I told my story. He said that I should have pressed the circuit breaker at the box above the door at the entrance to the shower block. (It was an old distribution box that I couldn’t have reached without a ladder.) I said that there were no signs and he hadn’t told me when i arrived. He said it was a safety device - the shower must have overheated and the breaker had tripped to prevent me from being scalded. I said that his ‘safety device’ had caused me an injury that would seriously affect my life for 6 weeks. There was no reply. I said that I needed to get to A&E. He agreed. I asked where the nearest one was and he told me. I said that I shouldn’t really drive because my right arm wasn’t working. He agreed. After a pause I said, “But I have no option". He agreed. He then said he would check the shower - and he walked off.
He was thoroughly unapologetic, disinterested and unhelpful. In contrast, Bangor hospital A&E were excellent.
Perfect safe for kids, beautiful beach, clean.
Great site :)
A little oasis of peace
