Wow ...... what a view to wake up to.
2018 already - can’t believe another year has gone by and we are now starting our 11th season. Harlech has seen a lot of changes over these years but remains a wonderful place to stay and visit. The Harlech Triathlon is looming and we are almost fully booked so please book quickly if you are planning to take part. We still have room for Valentine’s Day which is also school half term, and also for Easter ..... book online or call us.
Just a reminder that we have one dog friendly guest room which has it's own entrance so the rest of the house is dog free for people that have pet allergies. There are great walks from the doorstep either up the hill or to the beach.
Harlech beach at 2 in the afternoon and the Rhinog Hills in mid morning on beautiful February days and not a soul in sight .... What more could you want? A brilliant way to relax and forget all your troubles for a few hours.
Good news ..... you can now book a room with us through Facebook, our website and through Tripadvisor. Look for the "book now " button or "online booking" tab. Looking around the town we have noticed that several of our restaurants are doing Valentine Day specials. Why not book a romantic stay with us and eat locally?
We have been working hard over the last few weeks to redecorate our house. There is still some to do but we have re-designed our "Glaslyn" room to turn it into a double room with wood designs! We hope it will be liked. Just a reminder....... we still have our "Winter Special" offer of any room, any two nights for just £50 per night for two people including breakfast.
From November 1st, if you stay for two or more nights you can book any room for just £50 per room per night for two people including breakfast. This offer will run until the end of February but excludes Christmas and New Year period and any school half terms. News from Harlech..... The new digital cinema is up and running so we can see up to date films at last!
Another summer is drawing to a close and we would like to thank everyone who has stayed with us this year so far. It was lovely to see old friends and new guests come and go over the last few months. Just a reminder that we are open all year and to look out for special offers over the winter.
Special offer ...book any two nights in January or February for just £100 for two people. Come and see the new Castle development and have a bracing walk on our wonderful beach. Just quote our Facebook page if you book.
News....we have come off of "Booking.com" but we are still open all year so now if you book book directly with us you get much better value and a cheaper stay.
been searching for these for years, finally been given them by the last warden from when pen y garth was a youth hostel
For 2015 we have thermal lined the Castle room to make it more cosy to stay in especially in the winter months and have changed the breakfast room a little so that it can now be used as a lounge as well.
We have just been awarded a Tripadvisor certificate of excellence for 2014! Thank you to all our reviewers.
This is what the fields looked like at Llanbedr after the storms. The sea defences were broken and all the farmland flooded. No trains running for several weeks as the line has been washed away!
A new tourist attraction in Harlech? Bungee jumping into the Castle? No.....the crane is there to build a new aerial walkway to the Castle entrance as part of the new Castle visitor centre. The Castle is open as normal during the work.
Pen Y Garth was once the Harlech Youth Hostel .... does anyone remember visiting here then. We would love to hear from you as we would like to know how the rooms were set out. If you still have your membership card with the hostel stamp in it or any badges you bought here we would gladly buy them from you.
Our little wildflowers meadows are just starting to look good this year- they are part of our garden "story" of the Physicians of Myddvai.
First-rate service all round, great value for money, lovely room and incredible views!
