Pen-Y-Pass Car Park
Reviews
Stunning walks and views lot's to see and do.
Friendly community there big thanks for your welcome
Pros:
1. (Fairly Clean) toilets available right next to the car park
2. Payment possible by card or cash
3. Sherpa bus stop located less than 10 metres away
4. Very convenient for climbers wanting to use The Miner's Track or other nearby routes.
Cons:
A full day's parking costs £10.00!!
the start for most of the more interesting routes up Snowdon, with a brilliant café, helpful information desk, free toilets, and awesome views on the drive up. expensive and limited parking, though the ticket machines do accept card.
Usually full on a good day, but there's sufficient parking further along the road with a bus or taxi to bring you back here for a trek up the mountain
For a car park, it's great. Lovely views, toilets and café on site, but you will be extremely lucky to find a spot to park. Arrive early.
Very well maintained car park which gives easy access to the Snowdon peak through multiple routes.
The visitor centre also has a cafe for a quick bite or drink.
Excellent facilities for hikers coming down off the mountain. There is a café, a ranger outpost, toilets and of course the car park. Don’t bother attempting to park there after 8am on the weekend though. Its small and fills up VERY quickly.
The shorter and most scenic routes to Snowdon's peak start at the car park. There are free to use toilets, snacks and drinks available in the shop and you can pay for the parking by card or cash. Only dropped a star because it's £5 for 4 hours (10 for over four hours). Not bad when you think that's what most car parks in Manchester would charge.
