About Pencarnan Farm
Pencarnan Farm is a caravan park and campsite perched on the most westerly point of Pembrokeshire extending to the high water mark on Porthsele Beach.
Pencarnan Farm Description
Pencarnan is 96 acre working farm extending to the high water mark on Porthsele beach. We are situated on the most westerly point of Pembrokeshire looking out toward St Georges Channel which connects with the Irish sea to the north and the Celtic Sea to the south.
The campsite part of the farm began around 1956. Sian's parents were tenants here before they bought the farm, her father was born at Pencarnan in 1915.
If you are looking for a bit of the wild life and love the outdoors then Pencarnan is for you. When the wind blows it sure does blow, and the rain is driven in off the sea with some force. But when the sun shines and the sea is however you like it, this corner of Pembrokeshire is the most amazing place to play in. The award winning Pembrokeshire coast path runs over our headland and the Celtic Coaster bus runs every hour in the summer months from the top of our track, this little bus will take you to various points on the coast path around the St Davids area so you can walk /run to one of these points then get a lift home. St Davids is 2 miles away, so not too far to cycle with the family for a pub lunch or a mooch around the shops.

Closest we've had to snow here at Pencarnan this year!
Ella doing what she does well at Solva yesterday with The Bluetits and Deakin and Blue swimwear.
Stormy skies over Pencarnan
Bon Voyage Mr and Mrs Mullis Richardson.... honeymoon here you come...
Typin the scavenger jack Russell passed away a few days ago . She was 14/15, we can’t remember. She terrorised Pencarnan campers relentlessly. She is buried on the headland with her tribe.
Anyone coming to Pembrokeshire on May 4th weekend may be interested in this event over in Carew. Early bird tickets available for a few more days
We have had some good surf over this Christmas week so far and Ella has been out capturing the Pencarnan boys enjoying it over at Whitesands. Our first New Year camper has arrived!
The Pembrokeshire seawater is getting colder and the last few weeks have created some challenging sea conditions but The Bluetits Open Water Swimmers, Pembrokeshire are a versatile bunch and happy to travel to wherever it’s possible to get in the sea without being bashed to bits by the waves. The bonus of fish and chips at The Shed in Porthgain yesterday was a welcome one and I think the words ‘fish and chips’ were shouted out a few times during the blustery Blue Lagoon dip for motivational purposes. Thanks to TYF Adventure for stocking DryRobes and Deakin and Blue swimsuits we are now warm out of the water and glamorous in
Winter pastimes...
This is our second year at Pencarnan and what a fantastic site it is. The site is right on the coast with stunning views and access to the coastal path. Staff make you feel welcome and are very helpful and this years pizzas were yummy. The showers and toilet facilities are very good. My familiy and i love this site as do the children, its quiet and quite beautiful and we are really looking forward to returning again next year. I would highly recommend staying here.
Pencarnan is a magical place. We can't think of a single negative aspect to holidaying here and look forward to returning next year.
Our first camping trip with our new tent... Was meant to arrive Friday but sadly time ran out so we arrived Saturday morning, to a warm friendly welcome, was advised on where to pitch and boy did we get a great spot with stunning coastal views. Field was a little slopping but not enough to cause any worries and the view more than made up for that. Lots of clean water points and the loos and showers where large and clean, however hot water not so hot for evening showers so would advise going in the morning when it was piping hot. Wetsuit washed area which was great and freezers for ice packs. Shop was good had the essentials and some.... Friendly helpful staff, we shall most definitely be back especially as its only 30 miles down the road from us... :) Sx
Just a fantastic relaxing place to be, beautiful views, lovely beach, made so many memories here
It is a fab place to stay! Apart from the excellent coastal walks, there are the lovely horses to see!
Fantastic! Very warm welcome on a very misty afternoon arrival, was advised on where to stay and pitch with my camper. Later that afternoon the low cloud gave way and revealed a truly stunning view.
Spent the next day on the beach below which had a very easy walk down. (be warned we walked the path 30 mins to whitesands bay a neighbouring beach only to find it was not dog friendly. We then had to come back to the Cove)
Lovely residential area with a visiting van which makes fantastic food. Very good clean loos and showers etc.
Can't wait to return.
Fantastic location couldn’t be better, came here the first time 30 odd years ago.... thanks for great memories.... love it here !
Cannot rate highly enough. Have stayed there many times over the past 10yrs. Only on 1 occasion did I book. 🙏🌹
