Penllwyn Lodges Log Cabins

What a fabulous place, we came away for the Christmas holidays, we've had such a relaxing family break, no stress lovely walks with the dog stunning views! Added bonus of the hot tub.

My brother and his family were In the log cabin next door which was just perfect for the kids to play and for us to run backwards and forwards, we will definitely be coming back, it's just been the most unstressful and relaxing Christmas ever!



Yes cabin is slightly out dated but still has everything you need, yes if you leave the window open of an evening you get moths and midges! And the shower isn't very good!!

But those few issues wouldn't stop us coming back I'd highly recommend this place to a family or a couple who wanted some quality time, it's so quiet and peaceful it's perfect.



We stayed in the pines log cabin and we don't want to go home!! Praying for snow so we can't leave.

We stopped at the log cabin for 5 day and it was amazing staff so friendly and place Is beautiful we would highly recommend to family and friends will definitely be going again . Paul and Karen

We have just returned from a 2 night stay here and it was amazing.

We stayed in The Hollies which had a hot tub. It was lovely to be sat in the hot tub overlooking the lake and surrounded by tree’s.

If you are after a relaxing , peaceful break this is definitely the place to go.

We went for a walk along the canal into the next village and my partner had a round of golf on the course right next door.

We will definitely be returning.

We had a great weekend at the Murrays lodge, this was our 3rd year of going to your lodges and we all love it. Hopefully be back again nxt year.

This was the one and only time my husband and i have had a 2 night stay without the children and we definitely want to come back. The staff were friendly and professional and very helpful with the local knowledge. It is such a beautiful place and we stayed in the Hollies which is perfect for a couple. We are hoping to bring the children next time so will need a bigger lodge ha ha. Sitting in a hot tub at night time in such peaceful surroundings is good for the soul. Love this place can't recommend it highly enough � xx

Fantastic place,surrounding area beautiful/very relaxing with great views. The lodges are spacious and reasonably equipped. Easy to access with plenty of room both inside and out. Can highly recommend came as a family of 4 and found things, for all to do, within easy driving distance.

Really enjoyed our break at Penllwyn Lodges. We stayed in Alpine which was perfect for us as a family of 5 plus the dog. All the staff we met were lovely and we really enjoyed exploring the surrounding area. Great place!

Our wooden lodge was perched on a hill (the pines) in amongst the trees with also some amazing landscape views. This was my first time in Wales and while we went about exploring the local area in the day, we definately looked forward to getting back to the cozy lodge. Most evenings were spent with some music on the ukulele, BBQ food/home cooked food and drinks on the balcony, or the boys going fishing on the lodge lake. To top it off, the lovely ladies at reception were very helpful regarding what to do in the area and made us feel very welcome and at home.

My husband and I have just spent a week at the cedar lodge losing my father a couple of months ago.this was just the place I needed.the lodge was so comfortable and everything was provided for.the view was stunning .the hot tub brilliant and the wildlife around our lodge I watched for hrs on end we are now looking to book again.this place is iddilic

Lovely place with lovely lodges and a great little fishing lake. Didn't catch a carp but the tench kept me busy with the biggest being 6lb8oz. Loads of wildlife which we all loved. Kids reallg enjoyed it. Thoroughly recommend and certainly want to come back.

Loved this even more than I could have imagined! My slagbag bag of a sister turned 30 and we partied 2 nights on the trot (no damage caused) we were very conservative, played 90's music twinned with a Michael Bolton slash Alexander O'Neil shred. Very spacious, my little 16month old loved the park, although she loved the pigs more, and I'm only sad that my mom wouldn't let me play hide n seek after dark due to a family member falling onto the golf course down a slippery embankment on their last visit. Loved chatting to the local fisherman and we loved the scenery and landscaping. The hill was a challenge but I like that, I think I've shed a few pounds running up and down it to get to my moms cabin. Truly amazing place xx

Just spent an amazing week in glorious sunshine and surroundings. Lodge was perfect, wildlife everywhere including a buzzard on our patio area every day. Hot tub perfect with great view across the golf course. Loved seeing the animals especially the pigs lol. Will defo be coming back to a jewel in the Welsh crown for some more peace and Tranquility. Can highly recommend these lodges.

Our cabin, Sycamores, was perfect. Loved how we were able to take Bo, our Springer! Everything we needed, even down to foil in the baking trays!

Beautiful surroundings. Beautiful cabin. Just beautiful.

Had an absolutely wonderful time here. Me and hubby took our 2 year old daughter and 5 month old shih tzu Reggie! We loved the woodland walks, collecting leaves and acorns for our bug house. The views are gorgeous and the gardens are beautifully maintained.

We stayed in The Pines. Very homely & has everything you need. Abit out dated but adds to the eerie character of being in the woods i suppose! Beware though and dont open windows and doors of an evening.. you'll be sharing your lodge with a few very unwanted guests! (Moths/hornets & bats!)



My daughter loved the animals! Especially the black pony who wobbled over for a fuss most days!!



If your looking for a little break, good views and total relaxation this is the place for you!

Local amenities a short drive away too which is a bonus!

Greeted day before Christmas Eve on a dark windy rainy day after 3 hour drive with 2 children to a log cabin that was warm inviting. Heating in full blast. Lights on for us . In the lounge a welcome box of chocolates, welcoming Christmas card and a beautiful fully decorated Christmas tree conplete with colourful lights. . We stayed here in aug and fell in love with the place. Christmas here is magic hope to come next year .

Beautiful and quiet place with lovely views from the lodge of golf course and countryside all you could hear was birds singing. Some lovely pubs a short drive away and Powys Castle just up the road. Our 2 dogs loved it. Would recommend and would stay again.

Beautiful Lodges set in a stunning location, couldn't think of anything better than waking up to the welsh country side every morning, my only complaint is that the bathroom in The Hawthorns lodge is freezing and the heating doesn't seem to heat it up. Other than that we've had an amazing stay and shall return in the future.
