About Penralley House

A unique bed and breakfast located in the heart of Wales offering a warm welcome to all

Penralley House Description

Penralley House is Georgian town house built around 1774 and extended in 1876. The history of the building is identifiable by its local granite façade at the front of the house and yellow brick Victorian extension at the rear.
The house has a lovely garden with views to the Elan Valley and surrounding countryside.

In 2012 the owners started to restore Penralley House, retaining many of the original features and creating a welcoming home.

Situated on the edge of Rhayader town centre Penralley House is close to all the local facilities including shops, the leisure centre, Pubs and places to eat, as well as parks and plenty of open space for outdoor activities.
The Elan Valley reservoirs and estate are within 3 miles and Gigrin farm, the Kite feeding station a few minutes along South Street. Being near the Kite feeding station these beautiful birds are often seen flying over the garden and using the trees as impromptu dinning tables.

Rhayader is situated on the main crossroads for routes north to south and west to east.
Cardigan Bay and the west coast, the Cambrian Mountains, Brecon Beacons and north Wales are within driving distance.
The rural area is of interest to those wanting a relaxing quiet break, to ones that want to experience an outdoor challenge.
This beautiful part of mid Wales can cater for all.
