Had another great family meal last night, good value and really efficient, friendly staff. Will definitely return

Lovely meal but room very dark in lightest spot. Blinds stopping what little daylight was available. Could do with a little more light to make it a really pleasant experience.

How is it still open? I had low expectations for this place; but I did expect simple, cheap and tasty pub grub in a clean and tidy environment that's suitable for families. There were a number of things that could easily be corrected that would improve my rating. Firstly we were waiting for someone to show us to a take for ages and eventually had to go to the bar to get someone. The table was sticky and the furniture uncomfortable & dated. We ordered 2 burgers & 2 drinks (1 lager) and the price came to £32 which was extortionate considering that the burger was so dry, even the bacon was overcooked. I was really surprised how busy it was there as we won't be returning. Merthyr now has some great independent restaurants in town that I would visit instead.

Our table was not cleaned after the previous diners. We cleaned it ourselves with hand wipes.
My daughter bought me a drink and was given an unopened can. She asked for a glass & was given one that hadn't even been washed!!
The pepper pot was empty. I took it to the bar and politely asked fir a full one and sat back down. 2 minutes later the bar person shouted across the room ' pepper!' and put a new pot on the bar.
Don't ask me about the food. I dont even want to go there.

A lovely meal every time we go there.
Usually choose from the main menu but twice now we have gone for the lunch deal (meal and a drink for 6 pounds) and it is excellent value with a good choice.
Highly recommend.

Staff were great always ready to help great food good all round would recommend.

Food good. Drinks poor short on mixers and ran out of favourite wine.

Been quite a few times with our school night outs and have aleays had a good time there .food is better than its ever been .and prices are affordable .will be going again soon as its on my doorstep.

Breakfast! They serve the premier Inn breakfast menu, word to the wise, ask for a latte instead of drinking the luke warm stewed coffee from the buffet pots. The breakfast is extensive and freshly cooked to order. Can't fault it. Real value for money!
