The sales man was very helpful we bought a Skoda a few weeks later I had a small problem and he sorted it out without any delay I would defiantly recommend him and would buy from him again

I am absolutely disgusted with the appalling service I have received from this so called business. I brought a car in January of 2017 and within 2 weeks the engine developed a catastrophic fault. It took Penybanc 7 weeks to put a new engine in the car, leaving me without a car during this time. On the day they finally returned the car to me it developed a major fuel leak from the engine and Penybanc, after a week, had still failed to put it right. By this point I had decided that enough was enough and I took the car back to to garage to get a refund, as Trading standards has stated that I was legally entitled to do. The arrogant and aggressive salesman refused to refund me, clearly believing that they are above the law. Do Not, under any circumstances, but a car from the sham car dealer.

So i called in to this dealers after 2 emails went unanswered with no call backs either, i had narrowed my search for a new car down to 3 from this dealer and a couple located elsewhere.

i wanted to look at and test drive these 3 specific cars from this dealer,
i called in and talked to a salesman who informed me that 3 cars is to much to test drive and i should decide on what im looking for, to which i replied i know exactly what im looking for.
i was then told that 3 cars is too many for me to test drive without some form of commitment from myself!
im am not a racer looking to joyride in a few cars, im in my 30's looking for an estate family car, i am not some time waster.
and im not going to promise to buy a car before ive shopped around and test driven them!

12k car and nothing but problems from the day I left the garage I was warned not to buy from them. But I gave them a chance an expensive chance for me though.

My son bought a car from here november first it needed a water pump in which they repaired it then when it was warm he couldnt get it into gear he took it back again they reckoned they had repaired it couple of days later car is back there again they reckoned it was repaired again ohh no not again car is back there again for same problem this time the aa towed it in it was the linkage had gone on the gearing they took it to be repaired to the garage they use they repaired it had it back couple of days same problem again when warm couldnt get it into gear again he took it back told them he had looked up on the internet and he found out what the problem was he explained to their mechanic what he needed to do and he said yes he knew what to do left the car for him to do it had the car back ohh no not again cars doing the samething again back he goes again mechanic does it again and what happens doesnt do it properly again in the end my son gave up and him and his friend done it themselves and the gearing be fine since car has also been back as the exhaust clip had snapped aa cane out put cable ties on it to hold it for him to get down there car went in they said they welded it back couple of wks and same thing happened again had the aa out again and they said who ever had welded it it looked like a nest they cabled tied it again my son took it back down told them he said the mechanic would put a new clip on it ok so thats what we thought he done only to discover that when my son and his friends went to do the gearing they discovered the cable ties where still there they hadnt done anything to it in the end he had to take it to his own garage to get it done he taken the receipt down to him as the car was still under warranty and is still waiting for the money as he keeps telling us the boss is on holidays if he dont get the money reinbursed to him this wk we going to trading standards

We recently purchased a car at Penybanc Car Centre as a Christmas present for our son. Before purchasing the salesman was extremely helpful. We were told that the car was reliable and that they knew the history of the car and that it had two previous owners. This turned out to be five owners once we got the log book! We were also promised a full 12 month MOT which never materialised. However, upon purchasing the car we were told that they didn't have the log book and that we'd have to apply for a new one from the DVLA. On Christmas Day my son who was absolutely delighted with his present, took it for a spin. He didn't get too far before the car lost power and when he pulled over water was pouring out. On further examination, the water pump hoses had disconnected and the battery was flat. After reconnecting the hoses, topping up the water and jump starting the car we managed to get it home. During this time it also developed a hole in the exhaust!! On route back to the garage, the car started emitting lots of white smoke and the engine cut out. The emergency services towed us back to the garage and we were told that the head gasket had blown. We were told by the salesman that it could be fixed but we explained that we just wanted a refund. We were told that it was not possible because the owner was away on holiday and would not be back until the New Year. We went back to the garage once the owner returned having previously sent a letter providing a list of faults that had developed. We were told that the owner had left but we would not take 'no' for an answer and decided to wait in the office until he returned. Five mins later he arrived shouting and swearing and banging doors. After 15 - 20 mins of intimidation tactics and verbal abuse he finally calmed down and agreed to refund our money. He also apologised and stated that the car should be scrapped. After reading other reviews about this place I think we were very fortunate to get our money back so quickly. Personally, we would never buy from this dealer again as we feel the car was not roadworthy and should not have been sold but scrapped in the first place. Also their attitude was completely unprofessional.
