Penybont Touring Park

We have just got back from a long weekend. After recently having stayed at a couple of very disappointing camp sites, we really struggled with choosing our next stay.
We really shouldn't of been worried, as this site was just what camping should be.
Reasonable prices, great clean facilities, beautifully maintained grounds and wonderful welcoming staff!
We took our kayak with us and to launch was about 150m walk to the beautiful Bala lake.
There were 4 showers (ladies) which were free and clean with plenty of hooks to hang your clothes. 4 private sink cubicles. 3 wash up sinks which were undercover. All with hot water and free.
The shop was well stocked with a lot of 'happy shopper' products with the prices already on them, so you know you're not being ripped off as with a lot of other camp shops.
Another plus was you can order meat via a form in reception from a local butcher who delivers the same evening (as long as you order before 3).
All in all, a wonderful site with the lake on your doorstep and Bala town 15 min walk away! Fab!

Beautiful scenery, and very friendly and helpful staff. Very tidy and large pitches. We have a campervan and two tents for the kids and even then plenty of space. Good location to start your visit to Snowdonia.

Nice, clean, tidy small site. Friendly staff. Good toilets and free hot showers.

Lovely setting and good facilities. Pitches were a little too close to each other. Staff friendly and helpful.

Going back again tomorrow to this beautiful site on the gorgeous bala lake. Really love the site and the area. And kept beautifully clean and tidy. Can't wait

Stayed for two nights camping during easter with the Mrs and kids and loved it. Beautiful setting, friendly and helpful staff, immaculate facilities and a handy shop. I can't recommend this campsite enough!

Beautiful place to be, great fun for whole family

Cheap, friendly and above all wonderful scenery. Get on your bike and start exploring the rather eerie Welsh landscapes and spend a few nights under the stars. You won't regret it 😉
