With a broken heart we announce that last night our Beautiful Major the Greatest of Great Danes and our most loyal companion died suddenly at home where he was the heart and sole of Perriswood. He will never be able to be replaced . His gentle welcome to all our visitors 2 legged and 4 was what made him so special, not just the fact he was one of the tallest dogs ever to walk on earth. Some will say he was just a dog ... he was far more than that to us. It was an honour to share our lives with such a special so special dog.

Whether it's your shopping list, to do list, christmas card list, bucket list or indeed brhams liszt...a visit to this place needs to be at the top of it! Hubby & me did the 'targets, talons & tea' experience. Archery for both of us followed by time with Luke the falconer with an owl a hawk and Ceasar the falcon doing his thing...flying at speed and swooping past so close that you could feel the draft from his wings! Brilliant! Tea or coffee with Welsh cakes & biscuits rounded off our throughly enjoyable and informative experience. Not to be missed.

What an amazing experience, to come up close and personal with some fine specimens. The birds of pray display was out of this world, and couldn't recommend this enough to anyone, Luke the handler was amazing! and you could see he loved everything he does for these birds! cant thank everyone down here for such a great afternoon out. very very friendly and respected place! will definitely be returning in the near future! :D Thank you to the whole team at Perriswood for a great day and their hospitality! :D

Went there for my daughter's birthday today, archery and birds. Was fantastic. Attentive knowledgeable staff, great place, beautiful views. will definately be coming back

We've visited Perriswood numerous times, my girls love going there for games of archery, to hold the birds, and most of all to see the celebrity of Wales - Major! 😉

We all had a fantastic time, the children loved the archery and watching the birds and also had the opportunity to hold some of them. It is so good we are going to make it a regular thing we all can’t wait to go back.

Took my daughter and niece they had an amazing time on the hop on, got there early and only them in the group. Will be back for the archery and the cafe scones were simply amazing. Thank you xx

It's a wonderful centre for archery and of course seeing and taking part in the display with their magnificent birds !

My husband Rich and I have just returned from a lovely two week stay in our caravan at Perriswood Archery and Falconry centre. What a wonderful place it is to stay, with outstanding views over Oxwich Bay a bonus. Brian and Julie were so welcoming as were the rest of the staff and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed regular walks up to the coffee shop to sample the delights on offer and to see the fabulous birds of Prey, the pigs and goat,sheep, the owls, horses, many more birds and not forgetting Major the fabulous friendly Great Dane. There is a wide range of activities on offer to suit all ages and capabilities. We were also fortunate to witness a beautiful wedding held in the on- site Marquee. I would definitely recommend a visit, whether it is just for a day or to stay at the caravan site. Can’t wait to go back again and will be making this a regular caravan stop.

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed the 'Birds, Bows & bullets' package yesterday. We found the archery lesson very helpful & the target-shooting was fun, but we particularly enjoyed the falconry hour when we were able to hold, and learn about, 5 different birds of prey. My husband is a self-confessed bird lover, but even he picked up some new & interesting facts yesterday. The birds were majestic & absolutely mesmerising! We also had fun chatting to the two talkative Cockateil parrots in the cage near reception. Major the Great Dane was also a lovely character. We can't wait to bring our son next time.

My Dad and I were at Perriswood today for the half day falconry experience. It was absolutely fantastic! It was amazing to hold all the beautiful birds that we saw today and to have them fly on to your hand is just an experience I will never forget. Thank you so much for such a brilliant day! I will be recommending you to all my family and friends and will definitely return.

Lovely welcoming staff, very knowledgable and accomodating, they put together a 1 and a half hour package just for us, and we got to meet some beautiful birds of prey. Myself and my husband will definitely go back when we're the area.

If you're looking for somewhere a bit different to go, for a peaceful, relaxing hour or so, with breath taking views, then pay a visit to Perriswood.

Try your hand at archery or falconry, say "hello" to the cheeky cockatoos, meet the worlds 2nd largest Great Dane, and have a welcome cuppa and snack in or outside the wooden cabin style coffee shop.

The staff are friendly and welcoming too.

The drive through the Gower to get there is lovely too, with some beautiful scenery on the way.

When you've got a couple of hours to spare, go and chill out in Perriswood Archery and Falconry Centre!

I went here today and had the most wonderful time. Took loads of photos and videos and it was a really memorable day. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. The birds were amazing and if I come back to Wales for another holiday I will definitely go again. Thank you

Great place to visit to gain some experience, new skills for young people and not so young folk! Professional archery tuition, in a pleasant and friendly manner. The birds and animals are well loved, the six week old Snowy Owl made us laugh trying to use his flying feathers and looking for his breakfast!! Good coffee too.

Great place to spend a few hours. Staff really informative and friendly. Archery & falconry is great fun for all the family & reasonably priced. Was great to see Major too, who's one of the biggest dogs ever!

Done archery with my friends. Made us feel welcome. Explained in very good detail how to do it. We all had a very good time. Recommend to others and reasonable prices too. Will be returning again. �

Amazing. Relaxed family run business who are passionate and enthusiastic about their work and their customers. Went for Arrows, Tea and Talons and had an amazing time. Even more amazing was the invite back the following day to see the Falcon flying outdoors because they had not been able to on the previous day due to wet weather. Great afternoon out!!

Amazing time at Periswood. Archery was really good fun. Really good insight of the Birds of Prey and to be able to have them land on your arm was awesome.
