Pets At Home Bridgend

We use Pets at Home for their grooming centre and for pet supplies. But we get a lot more besides. The levels of knowledge of many of the staff are impressive and we’ve taken a lot of good advice from them. I’d certainly recommend them. Although we have no experience of the vets there so can’t comment on that aspect.

Good choice of pets, a bit on the expensive side. Staff helpful and knowledgeable.

Can be pricey and staff on two occasions didn't give a level of customer service that I found satisfactory....too busy chatting you serve

pet's at home , is a good place to visit with young children the staff will advise on how to look after different types of animals. it's a dog friendly store and my dogs are shopping divas.

If I could leave a zero star rating, I would! We popped up to buy a prescription only flea treatment for a working spaniel. When asked her weight we told the assistant she was 13 kilos, the assistant retorted that it couldn't be an estimate and that we had to bring her in to weigh her. She was well within the 10-25 kilo weight guide for the treatment, however we were refused service and ended up walking away empty handed. If you come here, expect to be forwarded on to the costlier vet service that pets at home run as this was their clear intention.
We had travelled from port Talbot where we were not told we had to physically bring the dog (a working spaniel, to a large shop selling small furry animals) recipe for disaster? The way the whole situation was handled badly and the service we received was appalling and led to an animal having to wait for treatment. Won't be bothering with the company again, clearly have some authority issues within the store.
I just cannot understand why we were refused treatment when we knew the animal weight, breed and age and is simple to buy from other places - including online suppliers!

Terrible service, couldn't wait to get me off the phone, try llantrisant instead, much better and friendlier staff.

Want to buy a goldfish? Don't buy them here you won't get the chance!!!! Wanted to buy two goldfish and told I was only allowed one due to the size of my tank even though they had about 50 in the same sized tank in the shop! Ridiculous!!! The assistant then dropped the fish due to plastic bag bursting so it had to be changed!!! My 9 year old wasn't best pleased. Won't go here again.

Fish from here don't last very long. Mainly due to illness within the tanks. Everything else is fine.

Both dogs are registered with vets in Bridgend, and I cannot praise all the staff employed here highly enough for the friendliness and above all the care and attention given to my dogs.
