Good shop for all pets things.

staff we extremely rude as soon as we stepped through the door, seem as though because they only had an hour before closing they did not want to serve. once decided on everything we needed they became slightly more friendly, wasn't too impressed.

Fair few dead fish in tanks, one Betta fish in with mollies all pecking at it and shredding it's fins. Staff eventually came and moved it to another tank

Don't expect to be able to use a trolley. They don't take the new pound coins and they only seem to have one token in the whole shop!

We took our two guinea pigs here for a check over and to have their nails clipped. The lady (whose name we forgot to catch, sorry!) was so lovely and helpful. Thankyou so much, we'll be back soon :-)

Great selection for all your pet needs, staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

It's typical pets at home.. in that it's overpriced and generally not worth what you pay for much of their stock, but there are a couple of diamonds amongst the team in here who know their stuff with more specialist pets.

Came to buy stuff for my new puppy. I found the staff really helpful, and I had to indulge and buy extra bits. I forgot my loyalty card so unlike the previous review I was glad they had my mobile number as they put it all on my card.

This was my first time here and I'll be back. Usually go to the one in Bristol near to where I work.

We were wanting to bye some shrimp and got served by Hannah (dark hair) we were treated with such arrogance and rudeness. During there pet policy registration I asked was "why do you need my number" as I did not want to receive unwanted calls. OMG I felt so embarrassed, she raised her voice so much so, that other customers stopped to watch her empowered by her authority to chase customers away unless they submit to there rules. Whilst I don’t disagree with what they are asking for, I do think they need to teach staff the right way to treat customers.
I would not recommend shopping at Pets at Home Newport, there are plenty other stores who welcome and respect there customers
