Amazing Bakery!

I happened to be in the area and stumbled across this place. What a lucky find!

Great service, tasty treats and pastries... I wish I lived in the area so I could stop by every day!

The staff were friendly and after I bought my Welsh Cake, Scotch Egg and a drink from the fridge, I enjoyed my light lunch at a stool by the window and looked on at people in the park.

Hope to return again one day soon!

Such a lovely, quaint and old-fashioned vibe - Pettigrew Bakeries has such a wonderful community feel! The staff are very friendly and always try to go above and beyond. You can tell that they care very deeply about their products, only using the finest ingredients. I'm ruined for all other brownies; I am completely hooked on their melt in your mouth chocolate brownie. An excellent place to visit that should have you coming back again and again. Support our local independents!

Gem of a place, wish it was nearer, hard working cheerful staff. Quality produce, I will be taking some home for sure. Great coffee sitting in the shop window watching the world go by.

A lovely shop to visit with an excellent range of products. The danishes and pattiserie type things are my fave and in my opinion, easily rival any bakery in France. Also love the Welsh cakes, Rye bread, the Traditional Beef pasties, Viennese Shells and of course, the zingin' Burnt Lemon tart (and yes my list could go on....).

I love this bakery. I've visited it a few times in the last year and each time it just seems to get better and better. I went this morning and the breadth of products available was just fantastic. Now I adore bread... and it has to be said that every product I tried (I ate in the bakery and then took a huge takeaway bag home) was just absolute quality, super tasty and worth every penny. To start the day I had a bacon sarnie - the bacon had just the right amount of fat and the spelt bread was just gorgeous - so soft and fluffy; I then later had the roasted veg focaccia which was a treat with a homemade cup of tea; my partner had the traditional beef pasty for lunch which as he said, had 'chunky yummy pastry and a meaty filling'; for our evening dessert - we split the chocolate brioche bun which was just heaven (a super indulgent day - but it is Easter Sunday after all!). Again, I can't tell you how lovely their bakery products are - you just have to go and try it yourself!!!

Seating area:
There are some lovely bench stools (about 6 or so) which allows you to perch up inside the bakery and look out into the beautiful Victoria Park. However, this morning I actually sat outside - they have 2 tables outside which was perfect on a sunny Sunday morning.

Staff:
The staff behind the counter were fantastic. Smiley, professional, ever so helpful with recommendations (I needed help as I was rather indecisive with all the yummy choices) and just faultless.

Tip/s:
They have gorgeous little 'bags for life' which sell for £2.50. I could not resist and I understand that if you come back with it - they'll give you a discount. Lastly, they have a lovely shelf of products such as jams and teas for sale as well.

Great service, excellent food and the best takeaway Cappuccino in the Canton area.

The team work so hard to bring lovely fresh products to Victoria Park every day. Always a smile and always tasty. Just had a nibble on their new panettone - so moist and fruity! An asset to the area.

Great bakery but products way overpriced - went in on Friday for Chelsea bun, to find that a single bun had now gone up to £1 - is that a 17.5% price increase?
It's a shame as it is a nice establishment, but far too expensive for me.

Well what a great response from you David, and very honest too - especially in your description of your previous 85p Chelsea bun.
Your feedback to my post is most informative, and I am pleased to receive it - perhaps it just lacks one thing in the ultimate customer care 'complaint' response - the offer of a complimentary 'new recipe' Chelsea bun, to lure me back to your lovely bakery, which I have already said, is a grand establishment and great addition to the Vic Park area.
Thanks.
Jon.
