Another holiday let completed! This one was with the lads at W&M Davies. Installed a CCTV system, and one of the new Pyronix Enforcer alarms, with door contacts, motion / heat sensors etc. And can all be set / unset / viewed from anywhere in the world with the mobile app.

Here’s the defibrillator at FSC Rhyd y creuau. First picture is of the panel that needed wiring (alarm, lights, tamper switch & heater to keep the battery in peak condition). Second is the panel in place, last is of the whole installation. Tony Godbert

To round off yet another hectic week, tomorrow I’m installing a defibrillator in FSC Rhyd y creuau in Betws Y Coed, at no cost to them. As I posted a few months ago, all labour & material costs will be met by myself. Hopefully they’ll never need it, but it’s good to know there will be one on site.

Today’s upgrade - 3 old separate units removed, all in the one now. And with the new surge protection device (SPD) & twin RCDs installed this is one seriously safe installation.

Today’s work, just finished this minute. ✅ Denbigh first thing this morning to a tv aerial fault. ✅ Start to first fix a garage conversion with Smartfield Installations. ✅ Site meeting at the travel agents. ✅ Same day call out to bathroom light fault... ✅ Upgrade the lighting to LED at Iwan M Williams Estate Agents ✅ Report for an architect on a new 16 bed building.

Another bathroom installation completed yesterday. Was a tricky one, had to run the cable from the garage & up the outside of the building, as there was no route up without major damage.

Finished this lovely kitchen today Gwern Gof Isaf Farm and Campsite, in another upcoming holiday let. Seriously worth thinking about if you’re after a peaceful break, the views from there are outstanding. From there I went to get the first fix in for spot lights in a lounge, and ended the day with a site visit on yet another large refurb in the centre of the town.

Couple of underfloor heating loose wire kits installed today ready for the tiler tomorrow. Floors primed before installation. Not as easy on the eye as the pre made mats, and a lot more labour involved, but with these kits you can get right where you need to go (close to the toilet in this case). Underfloor heating is probably cheaper than you think too, get in touch for a free estimate.

Yesterday’s work - Had to sort out this mess in an upcoming holiday let in Betws Y Coed. Not the cheapest consumer unit on the market, but by far the best I’ve ever worked with, and seeing as it’s made by Schneider Electric the quality will never come into question.

Sunday night call out - 7pm to The Old Stag , Llangernyw. Traced the fault, found out it had dropped one of the 3 phases coming into the building. Turns out one of the old wooden electric poles out on the main road was on ūüĒ•

First fixed 2 bathrooms in the same house yesterday, changed the old pull cords to switches outside the bathrooms, no plastering needed at all. Couple of hours next week to fit all the downlights, new fans & shower. Off to Conwy this morning to change a consumer unit & upgrade all switches & sockets before the first guests arrive tomorrow.

7.30 on a Friday night, heading into the 12th hour of the day, and I’m off to Rowen to finish wiring up a wooden lodge
