excellent service, and lovely meal and even better company xx

User

Went there yesterday as a party of 8. None of us had the Sunday lunch and all of us really enjoyed our meals. Our waitress was really friendly and made sure we were all ok. Would not hesitate to go there again. Good value for money.

User

Visited whilst in Bridgend delivering furniture and as per reviews I had read before hand I found the pub was busy however the staff said they would get me a table but I might have to wait about 20 mins. Any way not a problem time to have a few drinks, portions looked small but was deceiving food was lovely and the staff were nice, I would defernatly use again if staying here again.

User

Visited for the first time today ,absolutely fantastic service, friendly helpful happy young staff it was a pleasure to eat here. The food was too class too. We will definately be back 👍👌😘😘

User

This place never fails to impress be it just for a drink or for a meal. Great location, lovely surroundings and really friendly, helpful staff make this wonderful venue well worth a visit

User

Standard and consistent quality from a brains pub but what sets this one apart is the friendly and welcoming staff and a fantastic beer garden.

User

So lovely to come back here after 30+ years and find new staff (obviously) but the same friendly welcome lovely atmosphere and good food

User

Outstanding from start to finish, or from that first waft of mouthwatering dishes to completion of their desserts! Staff are devoted to good service and entertaining too! Too good to miss

User

Nice pub, friendly staff, lovely food and drink choices and plenty of parking

User

My husband my daughter and I came last Sunday. It was really busy but still very accommodating. The best BBQ ribs I have ever had. Definitely be back thank you

User

Just called in for a meal on the off. Haven't booked a table. Staff really helpful. Found us a table.

Food was lovely and enjoyed by both of us.

Nice relaxed atmosphere in there as well.

Definitely will be returning.

User

Haven't been here since I was a kid 15+ years ago, as nice and friendly as I remember. The food was delicious the Taverners chicken was to die for, the customer service was the best I've experienced

User

Had a fantastic meal. Starter of Garlic mushrooms was delicious. Followed by Sirloin Steak cooked exactly to my specification. Friendly helpful staff. Only in Wales for the weekend so sadly won't get to go again but would highly recommend.

User

Good food. Very friendly and attentive staff. The pub was full, always a good sign. Overall an excellent meal.

User

Food was well presented & considering the pub was BUSY not much of a wait the staff were all very pleasant.... There was a warm friendly atmosphere in all area of pub both bar & restaurant

Will defiantly visit again hopefully in sunshine when we can sit in the area outside over looking the village

User

Food was outstanding.. & the service good too specially as it was a hot bank holiday & busy

User

Food very good, very busy place so service between courses not as quick as we would have liked. Staff members doing their best and were friendly and polite.

User

Fab food, lovely place and atmosphere and staff were great defo be back

User

Delicious food, lovely surroundings, with attentive and friendly staff.

We chose The Pheasant for my Dad's 70th and we were not disappointed. The food took a while to come but we all had a family evening to remember for all the right reasons.

User

Very nice food reasonably priced. Good staff too.

User

Sunday lunch was lovely. Plenty of it and hot.

Staff really friendly. I live it Bristol. And whenever I visit my daughter. I always love a visit to the Pheasant.

User

My friend and I had a lovely evening there last night the atmosphere staff and the food were wonderful always a warm welcome and a cosy friendly feeeling to sit and relax and enjoy your evening highly recommend it

User

Just had a lovely meal for my friends nans birthday sara was our waitress and was very nice. Apart from one of our party had their food sent back as the Gamon wasn't cooked tidy and they gave her money back

User

Had my daughter's informal 21st birthday meal here last night. Was busy but food was lovely and hot and well presented and the staff were brilliant although being understaffed in my opinion. Were really helpful and courteous and my husband being disabled they looked after us very well. Would go again

User

Had a lovely evening last night my 2 daughters, my friend, my goddaughter and myself we had the 3 course Christmas meal It was lovely and plenty of it. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We had decided to go back for a post Christmas evening Thank you so much

User

Had a delicious meal here last night. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The service was good and served in good time. A little limited menu, but the steak I had, was cooked to perfection and truly delicious. Thank you.

User

Friendly, cosy atmosphere. Had the Sunday lunch option. Good food, plenty of it and good value too. Would definitely go again.

User

First time I've been to the Pheasant for years but really enjoyed the food and atmosphere so we booked Sunday lunch there this weekend hope it of the same standard

User

Went with friends Thursday meals were not up to much

Desert dry

3 hours to serve 3 courses

Wouldn't rush back

User

Service was good, meal was good. However felt it fell a bit short of a four. However will be returning.

User

Overall food was ok, 2 or 3 course meal deal is good. Mushroom starter was amazing, for my main I had a 6oz Welsh beef burger, burger was dry, ketchup sorted that, chips were the biggest disappointment, they were frozen chips and over cooked, homemade chips are a must!

User

Me and 3 friends came for a meal on Saturday. We chose the deal 3 courses for £9.99 which is very good value for money! But the food could of been better. Wasn’t the best. I would return to try something from your normal menu and see if that’s better as I’ve heard good things. Staff constantly barging past you and knocking your chair every 2 minutes which was very annoying! After ordering our food a young girls comes over and said “ sorry you will have to finish and leave by 3.50 because we need your table. 1 hour to eat 3 courses. This was extremely rude. Especially as it was after they had taken our order and seen where we were sitting. They should off approached us on arrival and told us.

User

Yesterday i was very disappointed with my meal the 10 chips i had was very well done greasy and no filling left in them, my plate was wet ham was also very disappointing, no one came to see how our meal was while eating or when it was time to pay. Pub is lovely customer service maybe not

User

When we first went in we thought it was unusally quiet...no one at bar to serve drinks. Ordered meal, starters were fine main meal as cold as stone only offered us money back on main meals as sides were still warm?? Definitely will never be eating here again....we rarely go out to eat & we chose the pheasant as previous meals were lovely NEVER AGAIN!!!!

User

Was nice but portions were very small, left feeling hungry, chips came in a little pot(what’s all that about), looks posh but when you tip them out it’s like”WHAT” I didn’t ask for a kids portion... I’m sorry but you know the saying”Cheap as Chips”....A few more would have made the meal more adult appropriate

User

Ordered the special chicken supreme, so chicken, veg, MASH and red wine gravy. Turns out they used SMASH or a cheaper version and bisto like gravy. £11.99 disgusting!

User

If I could put a lower score I would the 4 kids were Really Disappointed & upset - There were Cards on the tables advertising a Free Kinder egg with the 3 course Kids meals - So naturally they all opted for that even the 2 year old !! Went to pay the bill & asked for their eggs to be told the offer was only for the 30th I pointed out there was no Date on the cards on the tables - the response was to eventually find an A4 size advert with 30th displayed & put it by the till - I asked what I was supposed to do now @ 4p.m. on Sunday with them expecting an egg & no shops nearby or open where I could even buy one & I also said they Mis - promoted as there was only one small poster with the date in the whole of the pub which had not been clearly in view just the cards on the table with No Date on them But to no avail all they said was they haven't been received from the brewery yet anyway - Try explaining that to Kids !!!😥 The 4 year olds response in front of the staff was "That's Disgusting" & he's quite right 😡😡

User

I can honestly say I will never eat here again. Starters were ok but the mains were just awful. Cajun Chicken was so dry it needed a gallon of water to wash it down & as for my fish..... Looked amazing just a shame it didn't taste as good. Ive never had fish like it anywhere. If I were blindfolded I would never have known it was fish (Maybe it wasn't?). And the service, OMG.....1 starter was practically thrown on our table. They need some customer service training. I think their faces would have cracked if they smiled.... It all seemed like to much trouble for them (even though it was their job!). Whoever owns this place I suggest you look at your staff if the profits are dropping. A chef that clearly cant cook & barmaids/waitresses with no customer service.... Good luck.

User

Had a meal here today. I had Cajun chicken which was like leather. Hardly any chips which tasted like they had been warmed up. My partner had surf and turf. It consisted of a small steak with 4 prawns on top plus a few warmed up chips and a few mushrooms. Very poor quality meal and cost s total of £23. Won't be visiting again. This is the second time we have had poor quality meals.

User
