We have been visiting Plas Llanfair for around 8 years and do not even contemplate other options as it would be impossible to find more welcoming hosts or a more homely base. Quiet, secluded, well located for hopping around the island and near to a whole host of Anglesey's ever evolving restaurants; for us, the perfect base.
Nice chill out holiday
Beautiful cottages in beautiful surroundings. Fully equipped and very clean and tidy. Close to all amenities too.
We were looking forward to a relaxing 10 day break in a lovely cottage and we certainly weren’t disappointed. By the end of the first day I’d lost count of how many times my wife had said, “Isn’t this gorgeous.” We continued saying similar things to each other right through to our leaving day. We’ve enjoyed numerous cottage breaks, usually in the Lakes or the Cotswolds and we had our favourites. Seaview Cottage in Anglesey has trumped them all. There are so many lovely walks all over the island, some right from the cottage door. The owners, Gill and Mike have created a slice of heaven and called it Plas Llanfair Cottages.
We recently returned from a one week stay in Seaview Cottage (24-31 August 2013). After holidaying in Cornwall for the last three years we decided to give Anglesey a try (much nearer to our home in Manchester). It certainly didn't disappoint. Packed with lovely scenery, well kept beaches and numerous family days out. Benllech town and beach is within easy reach.
Seaview Cottage was a perfect base to explore the island. Definitely worthy of all of its five stars - spacious, beautifully furnished and very well equipped. The owners, Gill and Mike, have thought of everything you need for a family holiday. A warm welcome and some lovely touches on arrival (homemade cake and basket of organic goodies). We also treated ourselves to a great first night meal cooked by Gill.
Our children, 8 and 5, really enjoyed playing in the gardens, exploring fields, spotting rabbits and putting our long neglected croquet set to good use. An idyllic setting, we have taken no chances and booked a return visit for next summer already!
Having holidayed on the Island for more than 20 years we can vouch that this accommodation is more than worthy of its outstanding reviews.Set away from the main resort and so very quiet, Plas Llanfair is a genuine haven yet within reach of all the main attractions. As dog owners,this happens to be the fantastic beaches[restrictions apply in high season], but we also like the fact they are made equally welcome by Gill,Mike and Bethany.
Considerable attention to detail and quality throughout guarantees the perfect base from which to explore,but you will aslo look forward to returning to the comfort of your temporary home!
May we also recommend Gill and Mike's culinary skills for the evening of arrival. We enjoyed a lovely 3 course dinner sourced from local ingredients, including organic produce from the smallholding.
