Plas Newydd House And Gardens

Gardens are great and would visit again. The house is of great historical interest to north Wales and people interested in the history of Waterloo. I would say you'd not regularly want to visit the house though.

Amazing grounds & went for lovely walk. Did not go into house. Stopped by the cafe for tea & a little snack. Very good! Friendly staff & very pleased it's dog 🐶 friendly. Quite enjoyed the morning 😊

Brilliant place for the family and the dog. The dog wasn't allowed in the main house so we walked to the gardens instead. My teenagers were interested in the house and my 8 yr old loved rolling down the bank.

Really good outdoor activities for kids. Lovely interior. Friendly staff. Good prices for cafe. Great views outside. Overall a great place to spend 2-3 hours. How about a picnic on the lawns? On a dry day you could relax here all day. As others have started, the Whistler painting is amazing. You need to hear the description from the staff to appreciate all the hidden features. Fantastic.

Excellent NT place to visit. House interesting, but not overwhelming. Gardens nice to wander through. Grounds are less formal, with play areas for children. Good coffee and friendly and informative staff throughout.

Nice open grounds and a lovely house. The exhibitions are good when you get round to them and there are some great artefacts to be seen. My wife and I took our dog and were made to feel very welcome. There are signs to see a flower garden but this can be quite a trek for little reward, it is down an uneven path which may be tricky for those who may struggle on such ground.

Another well maintained National Trust property with enthusiast staff and a great tea room. The house and gardens are well presented with super views towards Snowdonia. A real gem.

Another super house, what a location! The huge mural was very impressive as was the guide who explained it all. The gardens were extensive and back lovely walk, our only disappointment was in not seeing any ref squirrels.

Wonderful gardens on the shores of the Menai Straits. The mural by Rex Whistler in the house is a must see.
The absolute highlight of the visit was seeing not just one red squirrel but a total of three during our visit.
