If you are a bike rider you will know the Ponderosa as a well known stop off for many rides into and out of Wales. It is open to all though and offers plenty of free parking some great views and the food is always freshly cooked and plentiful.
Great place for the bikes at weekend. Just be careful of the sheep on the road. Also the mobile speed camera van is very active in the area so keep to the speed limits and be safe. Cafe is good, simple basic food a little expensive.
Great ride up Horseshoe pass. Lovely views of the valley from the cafe. The cafe itself is cheerful and portions are generous. They have bed and breakfast between April and September.
One of my favourite places to visit. Inexpensive and high quality food in a fantastic location. This place is popular so expect to wait for food but it's worth it. You can get a decent meal for 2 with drinks for just over a tenner. Car parking is free and there are some fantastic walks to be had in this area. Been visiting here since I was a small child.
Out of this world.
Friendly staff, great service and lovely simple food. Very well priced and served well. The shop is well stocked with fancy goods.
Don't expect 5* restaurant food it's NOT that king of place. It's plane simple and clean. Great for stopping off on your travels. LOVE IT.
Spacious, clean, good grub, reasonable prices, friendly staff. Big car park. Good biker stop off too. Good views when the weather is friendly.
Called just as the cafe had closed. Let us in and made us take away tea and coffee. Opened door for wife to go to toilet. Very friendly and helpful. Will definitely call back.
From where I live in Rhyl it's a nice ride out and easy place to get two. The service you get is friendly the food is hot. There is always plentiful supply of bikes to look at and the sense freedom with nature. A must see place to go and soak up the at peace feeling.
Fantastic views and food. Lots of bikes especially in the good weather but also popular with coaches and cars. Reasonably priced B&B too. Love the 'Shop in the clouds' too. Xx
