I have been coming to Popworld for about a year and a half and I love it to bits there are always really good drink offers on the bar staff are really kind and helpful to me along with the door staff they are always there for us making sure that there is never any anti social behaviour in the club and making the club as safe and welcoming for us all along with the management team of Popworld they are very approachable and are always there to listen to any ideas or concerns we may have they also have a very good team of DJS who are always willing to play whatever songs we request to them a lot of people think that Popworld is rubbish when it isn't you just need to enquire with us when there is good drink offers on certain days I know it can be a bit pricey but there are at least 4 days a week that there is drink offers on as I won't come myself when it is full price I have always had a fantastic time at Popworld I would choose this club over any other clubs in Cardiff.

I booked a VIP booth for my best friends hen party Saturday 13th May 2017. I have to say it was fantastic from start to finish! - Nothing was too much trouble for Jason - From the moment he greeted us at the door he made us all feel so welcome. We were able to walk straight in thanks to the queue jump perk that comes with the VIP package and also enjoyed the free house bubbly, the vodka mixer vouchers and the giant martini glass of sweets - which went down very well with the hen :) I can't fault it from start to finish it was a fantastic night - It was extremely busy as it was a Saturday night but we still had plenty of room :)

I highly recommend booking a VIP package here with Jason. :)

Had an awsome night tonight .. Becky was so friendly greating us in the building then we was greated with the lady who does glitter face painting ... over all brilliant night & look out for the lady bouncer Amy she is literally watching over everyone I left my bag unattended for 1 hour, come back and she said she been watching it all the time which I didn’t expect as it was my fault for leaving it !!!! All In all a brilliant night thank you girls xxxxxxx

Booked a booth for a hen party Saturday night! I booked thought Facebook which was easy and Lauren was very helpful

And patient with me, thank you. We arrived early but Popworld were still very accommodating. The lady who sorted our booth was lovely and very helpful, sorry I forgot her name I think maybe Becky? We had everything we asked for all drinks included were fab, we were given tickets instead of a bottle of spirits to get from the bar, but found this Evan better as we could go up and get it when we wanted �the bar staff were friendly. There was a big fight half way through the night which took a while to get dealt with, but the staff on tried their best to it broken up and get those involoved out. The DJ was amazing as usual and the music was great! We had a fab time and lots of us appreciated the Dj selling flip flops so we could carry on dancing! � can’t wait to return definitely be paying for a booth in the future! Well worth the money! Thanks for a fabulous night !

Was out with my friend on the 22nd September dressed as Pink Ladies from Grease. The Music was brilliant! The bar staff are fun and friendly! But the bouncer on door asked if we have ID. My friend is 38 and I had ID. And I am 40! But i didn't have ID. But luckily The bouncer did let us in when we said im 40. Now I now i look young for 40 but never thought I would get IDed at 40 whether it was fact we were in fancy dress or they just had to do a few checks. As he IDed the women in front and they looked older aswell I would even say one of them looked around 45. But we still had a brilliant nite tho anyway! �

Bar staff are fantastic and so friendly, I do agree with some previous comments that prices change however, first round (vodka and coke) cost just over £9, second round cost £11 and third cost £8 so I’m not sure why that’s happening and would love to know a set price list! � having said that, music is awesome, good crowd of people inside and the door staff were all having a laugh with everyone too. Absolutely would go back (especially if the pricing issue is rectified as that’s the only reason I’m not rating 5*)!

After being disappointed with a booth we booked for the rugby a couple of weeks ago, Jason, the manager invited us back.



We had a really good night, the booth was private with our own TV for the rugby match.



The drinks were excellent value, only £2 a pint while the rugby was on.



Jason was great, very attentive & definitely made up for the last time. Thank you for a great night, we will be back.



Also, peter, the bouncer was very kind and helpful. He was one of the most attentive staff members in the club.

shocking the bouncers on the door last night no reason at all the asked us to leave to walk out side to piles of bouncers throwing us to the floor and attracting us 2 or 3 on each of us which lead my cuz to spend a night in hospital for head injuries cuts and bruises to myself another female due to 2men wrestling us to the floor also got 2vidoe of the bouncers throwing punches in while they pinned us to the floor

Was on a hen do last night which we had the platinum booth, no table service had to queue half an hour at the bar to get our bottles to then be told we could not have it in a bottle form! We had to have 48 plastic glasses with vodka in! To which people were leaning over and taking our drinks! What was annoying after I saw people at the bar buying bottles of proseco with no issue, but I got told we could not have actual bottles due to safety! Then to top it off a massive fight broke out which took security ages to come over security from the next door club had to help. In my opinion poor management skills knowing the football was on not enough bar staff or security I felt unsafe! I have been to lot of popworlds around the country but this one gave us the worst customer service in comparison. I will never return to this one but love the popworld in Birmingham!

I visited your establishment on the late afternoon / early evening of the 22nd of September 2018. I was with work colleagues having a social get-together in Cardiff.



We'd been there for an hour or so, when I was approached by one of your bouncers. He said something to me which I did not hear due to the volume of the music. I asked him to repeat himself. At which point, I was suddenly and without warning rushed from behind by two other bouncers who jumped on my back and into a headlock and dragged out of the venue by the three of them.



I was given no explanation as to why I had been assaulted and ejected in this manner. One of my colleagues tried to ask one of the bouncers, who simply told him that I had been 'obstructive' and that they had used 'reasonable force'. Another of my colleagues was told that I had knocked into someone and spilled a drink onto their leg.



I was completely unaware of any such incident, but had I been made aware I would have been more than happy to have apologised to the individual concerned and bought them a drink. Not only was I not given a chance to do this, I was not even given a chance to be made aware of what I was accused of!



So how does being jumped on by three bouncers - two of whom came from behind - and put into a headlock and forcibly dragged outside constitute 'reasonable force'? I suppose looking at other reviews, maybe it is 'reasonable' by the standards of your door staff. After all, they did the 'three on one' on a girl of less than 5ft tall for the 'crime' of removing her shoes. I should perhaps consider myself lucky not to have had my head stomped on and my eye socket caved in, as happened to another unfortunate visitor to your premises at the boots of your bouncers.



I realise I'll just get the standard email from Lauren, if that. I am not posting this in order to take my complaint any further than this. I know I will get no redress.



I simply post this in order to warn people that your bouncers are a bunch of pumped-up, animalistic thugs, and that your establishment is a disgrace for repeatedly allowing them to continue to assault your patrons.

Complete con. Went in on Easter Sunday -£4 pp to get in. For single vodka lime and lemondade £6. Ask to top up lemonade without even having a mouthful and wanted another £1. Wouldn’t go back there if it was the place on earth. Staff rude and just didn’t care.

Bouncers were atrocious, I was getting attacked by some guys inside the club, so the bouncers proceeded to take me outside and punch and kick me in the head, which broke my eye socket. They threw my innocent father on the floor by grabbing him by the neck too. Essentially the bouncers believe that they have a license to maim and if you are a punter here you have to understand that you are paying the wages of complete animals, who will not think twice about jumping on your head.

I have been coming to Popworld for about a year and a half and I love it to bits there are always really good drink offers on the bar staff are really kind and helpful to me along with the door staff they are always there for us making sure that there is never any anti social behaviour in the club and making the club as safe and welcoming for us all along with the management team of Popworld they are very approachable and are always there to listen to any ideas or concerns we may have they also have a very good team of DJS who are always willing to play whatever songs we request to them a lot of people think that Popworld is rubbish when it isn't you just need to enquire with us when there is good drink offers on certain days I know it can be a bit pricey but there are at least 4 days a week that there is drink offers on as I won't come myself when it is full price I have always had a fantastic time at Popworld I would choose this club over any other clubs in Cardiff.

I booked a VIP booth for my best friends hen party Saturday 13th May 2017. I have to say it was fantastic from start to finish! - Nothing was too much trouble for Jason - From the moment he greeted us at the door he made us all feel so welcome. We were able to walk straight in thanks to the queue jump perk that comes with the VIP package and also enjoyed the free house bubbly, the vodka mixer vouchers and the giant martini glass of sweets - which went down very well with the hen :) I can't fault it from start to finish it was a fantastic night - It was extremely busy as it was a Saturday night but we still had plenty of room :)

I highly recommend booking a VIP package here with Jason. :)

Had an awsome night tonight .. Becky was so friendly greating us in the building then we was greated with the lady who does glitter face painting ... over all brilliant night & look out for the lady bouncer Amy she is literally watching over everyone I left my bag unattended for 1 hour, come back and she said she been watching it all the time which I didn’t expect as it was my fault for leaving it !!!! All In all a brilliant night thank you girls xxxxxxx

Booked a booth for a hen party Saturday night! I booked thought Facebook which was easy and Lauren was very helpful

And patient with me, thank you. We arrived early but Popworld were still very accommodating. The lady who sorted our booth was lovely and very helpful, sorry I forgot her name I think maybe Becky? We had everything we asked for all drinks included were fab, we were given tickets instead of a bottle of spirits to get from the bar, but found this Evan better as we could go up and get it when we wanted �the bar staff were friendly. There was a big fight half way through the night which took a while to get dealt with, but the staff on tried their best to it broken up and get those involoved out. The DJ was amazing as usual and the music was great! We had a fab time and lots of us appreciated the Dj selling flip flops so we could carry on dancing! � can’t wait to return definitely be paying for a booth in the future! Well worth the money! Thanks for a fabulous night !

Was out with my friend on the 22nd September dressed as Pink Ladies from Grease. The Music was brilliant! The bar staff are fun and friendly! But the bouncer on door asked if we have ID. My friend is 38 and I had ID. And I am 40! But i didn't have ID. But luckily The bouncer did let us in when we said im 40. Now I now i look young for 40 but never thought I would get IDed at 40 whether it was fact we were in fancy dress or they just had to do a few checks. As he IDed the women in front and they looked older aswell I would even say one of them looked around 45. But we still had a brilliant nite tho anyway! �

Bar staff are fantastic and so friendly, I do agree with some previous comments that prices change however, first round (vodka and coke) cost just over £9, second round cost £11 and third cost £8 so I’m not sure why that’s happening and would love to know a set price list! � having said that, music is awesome, good crowd of people inside and the door staff were all having a laugh with everyone too. Absolutely would go back (especially if the pricing issue is rectified as that’s the only reason I’m not rating 5*)!

After being disappointed with a booth we booked for the rugby a couple of weeks ago, Jason, the manager invited us back.



We had a really good night, the booth was private with our own TV for the rugby match.



The drinks were excellent value, only £2 a pint while the rugby was on.



Jason was great, very attentive & definitely made up for the last time. Thank you for a great night, we will be back.



Also, peter, the bouncer was very kind and helpful. He was one of the most attentive staff members in the club.

shocking the bouncers on the door last night no reason at all the asked us to leave to walk out side to piles of bouncers throwing us to the floor and attracting us 2 or 3 on each of us which lead my cuz to spend a night in hospital for head injuries cuts and bruises to myself another female due to 2men wrestling us to the floor also got 2vidoe of the bouncers throwing punches in while they pinned us to the floor

Was on a hen do last night which we had the platinum booth, no table service had to queue half an hour at the bar to get our bottles to then be told we could not have it in a bottle form! We had to have 48 plastic glasses with vodka in! To which people were leaning over and taking our drinks! What was annoying after I saw people at the bar buying bottles of proseco with no issue, but I got told we could not have actual bottles due to safety! Then to top it off a massive fight broke out which took security ages to come over security from the next door club had to help. In my opinion poor management skills knowing the football was on not enough bar staff or security I felt unsafe! I have been to lot of popworlds around the country but this one gave us the worst customer service in comparison. I will never return to this one but love the popworld in Birmingham!

Shit place filthy floors and toilets staff very very rude swear they are working at some classy nightclub! First and last visit there 😡

I visited your establishment on the late afternoon / early evening of the 22nd of September 2018. I was with work colleagues having a social get-together in Cardiff.



We'd been there for an hour or so, when I was approached by one of your bouncers. He said something to me which I did not hear due to the volume of the music. I asked him to repeat himself. At which point, I was suddenly and without warning rushed from behind by two other bouncers who jumped on my back and into a headlock and dragged out of the venue by the three of them.



I was given no explanation as to why I had been assaulted and ejected in this manner. One of my colleagues tried to ask one of the bouncers, who simply told him that I had been 'obstructive' and that they had used 'reasonable force'. Another of my colleagues was told that I had knocked into someone and spilled a drink onto their leg.



I was completely unaware of any such incident, but had I been made aware I would have been more than happy to have apologised to the individual concerned and bought them a drink. Not only was I not given a chance to do this, I was not even given a chance to be made aware of what I was accused of!



So how does being jumped on by three bouncers - two of whom came from behind - and put into a headlock and forcibly dragged outside constitute 'reasonable force'? I suppose looking at other reviews, maybe it is 'reasonable' by the standards of your door staff. After all, they did the 'three on one' on a girl of less than 5ft tall for the 'crime' of removing her shoes. I should perhaps consider myself lucky not to have had my head stomped on and my eye socket caved in, as happened to another unfortunate visitor to your premises at the boots of your bouncers.



I realise I'll just get the standard email from Lauren, if that. I am not posting this in order to take my complaint any further than this. I know I will get no redress.



I simply post this in order to warn people that your bouncers are a bunch of pumped-up, animalistic thugs, and that your establishment is a disgrace for repeatedly allowing them to continue to assault your patrons.

Complete con. Went in on Easter Sunday -£4 pp to get in. For single vodka lime and lemondade £6. Ask to top up lemonade without even having a mouthful and wanted another £1. Wouldn’t go back there if it was the place on earth. Staff rude and just didn’t care.

Bouncers were atrocious, I was getting attacked by some guys inside the club, so the bouncers proceeded to take me outside and punch and kick me in the head, which broke my eye socket. They threw my innocent father on the floor by grabbing him by the neck too. Essentially the bouncers believe that they have a license to maim and if you are a punter here you have to understand that you are paying the wages of complete animals, who will not think twice about jumping on your head.
