Porthmadog
Reviews
Please note this is the main line station not the Ffestiniog NGR as per done of the photos. Station is nicely preserved with coffee shop and pub. Platform shelter needs glass replacing.
Judging by some of the photos uploaded and the previous reviews written it seems some people have confused this railway station with the narrow gauge railway stations on the Ffestiniog and Highland Railways. This is the "proper" station and lies on the Cambrian Coast line which runs between Birmingham and Shrewsbury in the east and Pwllheli in the West. The station is just outside Porthmadog town centre and whilst it's a bit basic (one eastbound and one westbound platform) the old station building has been converted into a pub called the Station Inn so if you find yourself having to wait for a train there's somewhere on site to seek shelter.
