We only stayed for one night but the room was great, lovely and quiet, clean and exceptionally well equipped for such a reasonable price. All of the staff were pleasant (cleaning crew too) and always available.

Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

User

Very pleasantly surprised as the rooms were very nice with up to date decor & furniture

Friendly staff & the carvery was amazing, food was very good & not too busy

Next time in area will defo stay again

User

Superb and very friendly helpful staff, we arrived about 3 hours before official check in - but no problem the lovely young man checked to see if our room was ready and it was so allowed us to check in immediately. Room was excellent and large. Huge bed very comfortable - best nights sleep I've had in ages. Will look forward to returning to stay again. Another bonus right next door to a Toby Inn - again lovely friendly staff and excellent breakfast

User

Stayed here for my birthday weekend, and the staff made mine and my fiancees stay amazing. The staff where 10/10 helpful, the lady behind reception even came to our room to pre warn us the restaurant over the road was getting busy, and printed us off a list of near by restaurants in case we couldn't get seated across the road. Will certainly be staying here again without a doubt, and will be reccomending this premier inn to anyone. It was quiet, room was spotless and bed was comfy, the room was perfect temperature aswell. Cannot praise the hotel enough.

Thanks for a pleasent stay guys! 5*!

User

Have stayed here on numerous occasions when visiting family. The staff are always so friendly & helpful. Lovely big room and having a Toby carvery next door is brilliant. The only negative is that the shower curtain always smells of smelly dishcloths which is caused by bacteria spreading in the warm and damp. They just need a good spray with bleach, otherwise all good

User

Great hotel stay there everytime we go back to my dad's home town of Caerphilly. Lovely room and lovely service definitely worth the stay, money and travel.

User

Was a good stay and sleepped well , but could do with longer curtains or a blind to stop the light coming in

User

Stayed here whilst down to watch Ed Sheeran in Cardiff. Staff were great from the off, pleasant and friendly, room slightly dated but we were only there to sleep. Went to local Asda for cheap n cheerful breakfast after seeing other reviews about Toby Carvery. All in all a good stop over

User

Stayed for a couple of nights as we wanted check out the Caerphilly area as a potential place to move to. Excellent location for this, room was a good size, the bed was huge and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Only negative was there was no restaurant on site but there is a Toby Carvery a few minutes walk away.

User

Premier inn is always good but last night we stayed on a really hot night!!!! Just wanted to mention Cerys for being lovely, friendly and helpful on checking in and out and over night Tim (I hope I remembered his name correctly) who came to our aid with extra fan for boiling room and speedy travel cot for the naughty toddler who wouldn't stay in bed!!! Thank you both.

User

Clean & spacious room.We only needed somewhere to sleep so was perfect for what we needed.

User

Polite staff, and also very quite considering its location and the fact we had to have window open all night. Only massive draw back for us is the lack of air conditioning on what was a very hot night.

1 star for the best bath ive had the pleasure of soaking my aching body in after a long day and 1 for the bed which would have been in my case if id had the magical power to shrink it down to fit. After checking in, shattered from a 16 hour coach journey, watched my daughters face crumble when informed there was no lift and would have to haul our cases and suitbags up a flight of stairs. The sight of a bath and comfort of a huge comfy bed soon put way to that.

That night after eating, and i use the term lightly, (review can be seen in Toby Carvery review page) returned to Inn to find a couple practicing the Karma Sutra on the wall outside the main entrance, much to the amazement of the 4 year old we had with us. Slept well that night thanks to the electric fan as we were unable to turn the heating down. The second night my son was repremanded by the man on the reception for swearing on his way out. Rightly so as he was on the phone to someone booking a room. I appologised for his loose lips and his inappropriate use of the word 'Shit' but informed him maybe he should also have a word of the returning travelling sex show giving their 9pm performance again on the wall outside. Im so pleased it was a warm night as the poor girl had her skirt pulled up to her waist and as her legs were wrapped around his waist was in danger of catching her death of cold. We were then asked by another 'guest' how much we had paid and was most upset we had paid just over the amount he had paid for one night to entertain his 15 year old one night stand. He then asked "wheres the best place to do Coke in here" to which we replied its refillable in the Toby but wouldnt reccomend the food.

My daughter later that night remained downstairs with some others in our party while i retired to bed. As we only have 1 key card i placed the door on the sneck and got into bed. Its good to know the man on nightshift comes into your room to check you are ok!! Mortified. All in all I cannot complain about the sleep and standard of rooms. Beds were made everyday and as i said earlier other than the heat in the room and the shinnanigans outside each night we all slept really well. We even enjoyed the bird and insects. Rescused a robin flying up and down the corridor, wrestled a spider the size of a cat, shared the bath with a little green cricket and played tag with a killer giant moth. All in all never laughed as much. Cheaper than therapy!!

User

We've stayed here a number of times. This was most definitely the worse room we've stayed in. Couldn't have a soak in the bath because it was black and black mould on the grouting of the tiles. It stunk of mould when we arrived, hence the window was left open by the cleaner's. We will be asking for a downstairs room next time we stay. Staff are always welcoming and helpful

User

The hotel is freezing and 2 nights now people banging on doors till 5 in the morning shouting ect.. only a couple hundred yards from reception but nothing said.. shud keep family rooms away from idiots..
