we spent a wonderful week here, just a few minuits walk to the beach.

plenty to do, we did plenty of walking.

you can even cycle to Rhyl, by taking the footpath through the golf course, then on to the promenade.... or.... its approx 4 mile by car. There is a fully stocked shop, for any grocery,s you should want. Small indoor pool , plus a lazy river outside. last but not least , plenty of places to eat.

Stayed for 7 nights loved it. The weather was amazing throughout which was a bonus. Lots to see and do for all 5 of our kids ranging between 14 & 2. The pool was lovely and warm once the boiler had been fixed. We didn't get to go in the outdoor pool unfortunately it was closed. The kids parks were lovely. Kids loved going on walks and seeing the rabbits running free & looking for frogs and lizards in the sand dunes. The evening kids entertainment was good. The caravan was lovely.

Me and my mom have just come home after being here for a week. The whole week has been fantastic. All the staff, including the security guys, were welcoming and friendly and always had a smile on their faces. The food was lovely and the entertainment in the evening was great for kids. I cannot fault this place at all and I will be reccomending to everyone. We will be back next year. Thank you to everyone involved

Had an amazing few days here. One of the best places we have stayed! Plenty for kids to do and right on the beach. The only improvement I would suggest is to put in someone serving hot drinks in the leisure centre part, where the play area is, instead of just a costa machine. Will definitely revisit. Thanks x

Booked to go on pur router 4th to the 8th. Phoned to upgrade our pitch the day before we went and got upgraded from electric grandstanding to Euro for free. Ended up on a corner pitch with loads of space and privacy but close enough to the play park for my daughter to go and play and still be in sight. 2nd days there we booked to stay an extra night. Didn't come across a single member of staff who was unhelpful or looked like the didn't want to be there. Fun bus takes you from the touring site to the complex for free we got lucky that it was such a warm week and could stroll back at night and still be warm. Site and touring shower block was very clean. Only one pool was open when we went but it was so nice and warm and looked clean. Daughter was gutted they closed the slide just after we got there about 4pm.

Massive thank you to fun star AMY who made my daughter's experience absolutely amazing even with having 2 days off my daughter was not happy about this. So was so upset to leave because she wasn't going to see amy again. All the fun stars all week have been amazing and we have really enjoyed our week.

As a family of 6, we love it here! We came last year for 5 nights as we normally go camping but decided to stay in a static n all of us absolutely loved it we decided come back for 2 weeks this year! The staff are friendly especially in the swimming pool! We would definitely recommend this site to other families and we will definitely be coming back!

User

Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and 3 teenage girls, lots to do had a fantastic time, pool was lovely and warm even the outdoor pool. Caravan was lovely much nicer than I thought it would be very clean and tidy only down fall we had a massive walk to the main area as the weather was glorious didn’t bother us too much! Some of the staff were were a bit clueless and told us wrong information a few times but apart from that we had a brilliant time

User

No where near as good as other haven sites but it was ok for what we paid. Activities are very few and far between. Outdoor pool never opened so can't comment. Indoor pool was ok, clean basically what you would expect. Lazy river was pretty good and a pleasant surprise. Not much on to entertain the kids during the days. Booked primrose valley for next year and there's a massive difference between the 2 sites. Primrose is packed with fun and constant activities but this place seems poor compared. Don't get me wrong I'm happy I booked this with the sun holidays so only cost £220 for 4 nights however I would be furious if i was paying more to come here. It's decent enough but not enough? It needs expanding on. I would recommend it at £220 for 4 nights but I wouldn't be paying full price. Saving grace for this place is the staff. We never come across any bad staff. They were all amazing, happy and helpful. Literally did not come across one single grumpy member of staff.

User

Just got back from a lovely holiday. The park staff where brilliant always polite and helpful. We had a couple of problems in our van that where sorted out very quickly and very well.

However the caravan was nice but could of been cleaner. The park was a bit lacking for the younger children and not overly great for the older children. Also the food in the mash and barrel could of been nicer and a better choice.

User

It was fine we were by everything ,only thing wrong went for a meal in the mash and barrel waited for an hour for the food then me and grandson then had to wait another 5min for are food and we book the table for 6.30.

User

When we first arrived to our caravan, outside cigarette ends and broken glass on ground, good job we had no children that wanted to play but we did have our dog so not good start. Inside caravan was very dirty !! Dust in all bedroom cupboards and surfaces, sand, dirt and chocolate on sofa cushions, floor really dirty and Sandy, worst thing was it smelt of cigarettes as we had a 3month old baby I was not happy, when complaining it took 2hours to get it cleaned, well a bit cleaner. Swimming pool looked really good 3 different parts inside, outside and lazy river unfortunately only 1 part open a a time, asked why this was and was told other lifeguards at school ???? Other than that most staff very friendly and polite.

Stayed for 4 nights in our tourer from 16-20th April 2018 the site has good and bad points. Good points 1. Staff are very friendly and helpful. 2. Food in the Mash and Barrel was of a good standard and served fairly quick. 3. The toilet and shower block was very clean. 4. There is a free bus service to take holiday makers from their tourer to the entertainment complex for the bar, restaurant, swimming pool etc. 5. The touring reception manager was extremely helpful. The bad points are 1. The touring area is a good 15-20 mins walk from the entertainment complex. 2. The beach is a long way away from the touring section. 3. There is a bar called the Anchorage Inn next to the touring park however it was closed for the whole duration of our stay. 4. The shower cubicles are very small and there was no where to put your clothes etc. Could do with being a little larger, couple of hooks in them and having a fold up seat in them. 5. The bus service stops at 9pm this means you either go back to caravan at 9 or you have a long walk back afterwards. Room for improvement 1. Open anchorage inn in the evening I’m sure it would be used. 2. Extend the bus time until 2300 hrs. Overall it was enjoyable and we will come back again

Had to stand in line to check in, our caravan wasn’t ready so had to wait almost 20 minutes while something was done in the office, didn’t tell us we needed entertainment passes to go EVERYWHERE what a con that is, caravan was very basic, not cleaned properly soap suds and hair all over the shower, fridge not working properly, freezer not working at all, floors were sticky. Entertainment was too loud and didn’t entertain the kids what so ever, everything is expensive. Really noisy families all around and you just have to put up with the noise and arguing and drinking till early hours.

The campsite is pretty secluded so you can’t really take a stroll anywhere, it was ok but I was disappointed.

I’m literally gobsmacked at the 5* reviews

User

Fridge was broke caravan dirty poor entertainment for families swimming pool was cold and found human feaces by the pool, entertainment is in one room which was over crowded with people bringing own alcohol in. Was back in caravan by 10pm every night and expect to spend plenty of money as it is quite expensive for everything.

User

Currently here now we came on Monday and meant to be here for the week but Im leaving on Friday Unless you want to buy a ball from the very overpriced supermarket to play outside your caravan with your under 4s then I definitely wouldn’t waste not only your money but your time coming here. We had to nag for 2 days to get booked on an activity to finally get squeezed on the nature activity one(30mins activity) wait at the ‘meeting point’ for 1 hour with 3 under 4s getting bored for no one to turn up.. to then on the walk back to the caravan to again (to play ball ) see the man who was meant to be hosting the nature trail having a cigarette on the beach! The kids entertainment is rubbish, you have 30 mins in the morning, and there’s a hour show on the evening for kids so 1 hour 30 mins during the whole day/night of entertainment for under 4s.... The swimming pools ok but let’s be honest there’s only so many times you can go swimming right? So if you have under 4s I definitely would not recommend this resort! Because you spend more time trying to find something to do than you do actually doing it.. On the plus side Burger King have a brilliant deal for a family of 4 ... bonus .

User

Won’t be going back, there was 5 of us 3 of which were children in a caravan for the half term holidays and the caravan was full of ants they were even in the oven we also found them in 1 of the beds so all we did all weekend was kill ants and spend money on eating out as there was no way I could eat never mind cook in there

User

So so noisy and a few police cars have been. Someone is banging so loud like these are hammering the caravan. Kids outside at this hour too. So many loud people. Will be exhausted. I'd go home now if I could only it's ireland. Deluxe caravan is older than 2. Fridge broken and so is bathroom door as it doesn't close

User

Disappointing. Warned about ants upon arrival, however nothing was being done to deter them. I spoke to a manager when leaving to which she replied, "You should've called security to deal with them" Which is nice to know however this is not something you would usually call security for, which they probably should've said when the warned about ants.

And I'm not talking about 4 or 5 every now and then, I'm talking hundreds. Park staff again not to concerned. Number of unsupervised children blowing bubbles in my 11 month old daughters face, which I saw him do to a couple of others.

User

Been to a lot of Haven sites and this nowhere near as good. Not a lot to do unless you like the swings Disabled access to the swimming pool is non-existant.

Lack of a decent disabled toilet and shop too small for safe disabled access
