Nice local pub. Good place for a quite midweek pint, or to kick off a big night.

Sad and tired I'm sorry to say. A really wide range of malt whiskeys but most of the bottles were empty!

If you like proper pubs with friendly local clientele then you'll like this place. Home cooked food, with some light bites for lunch. One of the oldest buildings in town. Decent prices, good ale, great service.

Lovely old pub. Good beer, and nice relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff. No food at the moment as the kitchens are closed.

I recently spent a weekend away with some friends in Criccieth, which is a small village-like area. We found this pub on the first of a two night stay and had a lovely evening. On the second evening, we returned to the pub and again had a lovely evening. HOWEVER, as last orders were called, we decided to get 'one more for the road'. Having waited at the bar for 5 minutes and not received any service, an elderly man behind the bar (as it turns out, the landlord) told us we would not be served. The other bar staff were still serving others at the bar, so I questioned why we would not be served. The landlord shouted across the bar "YOU'RE NOT GETTING B****Y SERVED AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT YOU CAN P**S OFF ELSEWHERE". Having spent at least 5 hours in this mans pub with a large group of friends, I could not believe his attitude towards me. Never again will I go back, and I recommend you avoid this rude, aggressive type of service. There are 2 smaller pubs elsewhere in Criccieth, I urge you to go there instead!
