Promove UK Ltd are the inventors of the Promove Sling, an award winning product to help often severely disabled people move from a 2 b with dignity. The Promove Sling is another advance in manual handling. It is a highly innovative approach that offers disabled people a genuinely better way to move / transfer from seat to seat, wheelchair to just about anywhere, when a large fixed or mobile hoist isn't a feasible option. Promove UK's MD, Dr Huw Thomas, himself disabled, invented the Promove Sling originally for his own use, but quickly found that it suited many many other disabled people who needed a more dignified, safer and comfortable way of transferring, not to mention being a big step forward for those assisting and doing the lifting / moving. Promove designed the Promove Sling from scratch and the entire range has the CE mark and is manufactured to the highest (ISO9000) standards in the UK in our partners facility in South Wales. Sold throughout the world, the Promove Sling is available in different sizes to meet the needs of all children and adults, including a Bariatric version that is being used by Emergency Services and others to help rescue / move those who are particularly heavy and large individuals requiring additional support - but here the same principles of dignity, safety, comfort and reliability apply, meaning a better more effective experience for all concerned.
