This weekend Dave and Ollie (for it is He) will be taking part in the COPS 30 miler, a 30 mile load-bearing ‘yomp’ across rugged Northumberland countryside alongside the Royal Marines to raise funds for the Care of Police Survivors and Royal Marines charities.

Following the huge success of 'The Strait' on ITV Wales earlier this year, the ITV network has taken the series and will be showing it throughout the UK, starting 14th September.
Filmed over a year from late 2016, the series follows the lives of six people who make their living on the Menai Strait, including our very own Captain Stan.

Seals are much more intelligent than some give them credit: they can tell the difference between the cruises and fishing trips, and also the fishing boats that have caught enough fish to share. This cheeky chap spend most of the morning hanging around the Catfish in the hope of a free meal, but in the process put on a cracking display for all on board! 🎣🎣🎣

What a fab trip - Stan is great fun and gives his passengers information about the headland from Beaumaris up to Penmon. We got to Puffin Island and he changed the direction of the boat several times to give passengers on both sides of the boat the opportunity to view the wildlife, we saw seals and plenty of Puffins.

Great value for money and good fun.

We went on the puffin island cruise on a sunny bank holiday weekend. I can highly recommend it. We had such fun. Saw seals basking in the sunshine, puffins and hundreds of other sea birds. My little boy loved it. Thank you

Took Hubby mum and my 9 yr old this afternoon, had a fantastic trip, the crew were hilarious and informative, they couldn't have done enough to ensure everyone on board, had captured the Seals and Puffins. Amazing scenery perfect weather. A fantastic trip was had by all!

Today we had an amazing trip aboard the island princess to puffin island. We were given loads of information on the way there about the history and geography of Beaumaris. As we neared puffin island we saw a wide variety of birds which were pointed out to us including several baby puffins. Around the corner were about 30 seals on the rocks. The captain navigated the boat in different directions so that everyone got a good view of the wildlife. Altogether a fabulous trip and really good value for money. Thanks guys!!

Today we boarded the Island Princess, we were made to feel safe immediately and Dave was amazing at helping people and dogs on and off the boat.

The trip was fantastic, we had great commentary along the way and great laughs. We saw loads of sea birds, grey seals on the rocks and plenty of puffins.

The skipper turned the boat so everyone got a good look at things and he made us laugh lots.

Highly recommend this trip to anybody of any age x

This trip is absoutly excallent and well worth the money myself and my partner went today on the 14.00pm one and even though the sun was not shining and was abit breezer , the ride was fabulous , the captain is amazing and very friendly and welcoming and makes you feel safe and at ease , he also has a shipmate with him called dave who was also good friendly and helpful , out on the sea the scenery is just amazing and you get alot of infomation along the way about the heritage from the captain ,when you finally get near puffin island this is were all the magic begins and ypu see all the wild life and sea life, when you come back to shore you just feel great . The whole experince is well worth doing its also can be done with your family and dogs are welcome as well you wont get nicer people or bet organised service then these guys i do strongley recommend you give it a go and capture all the magic for yourselfs

Thank you for an awesome trip to Puffin Island today! Loved hearing so much about the history of the area and seeing all the birds! Three seals also put in an appearance, albeit just their heads! Hopefully next time we will catch them at a slightly lower tide and see them basking! Highly recommended trip!

Really informative and helpful crew, sightings of guillemots, razorbills, seals, puffins and even dolphins. And blankets when it got a bit breezy! Great!

Me & my family went on the cruise yesterday, it was a last minute idea as we only had 5 minutes until the last trip of the day was taking off, but I'm so glad we decided to go.

The trip was absolutely amazing, the skipper and his crew member was funny & very informative.

We saw a few puffin, seals and loads of other Wild birds which was amazing.

The sights along the way were beautiful & we will definitely be coming again.

The price for 5 of us was £36 which I think was brilliant considering your on the boat for 1 and half hours.

Just got back from our cracking cruise around puffin lsland and then down to the Menai Bridge. Lovely scenery, good commentary and great weather..... perfect!!

Had a fantastic trip to puffin island this week. We saw lots of puffins and seals as well as all the other wildlife. The crew were brilliant, really informative and funny! The skipper even changed direction of the boat a few times so we could all get a really good look at the puffins. It was obvious that they both wanted us all to have the best experience. Would highly recommend and would definitely go again.

Had a 3hr fishing trip with our 7 year old and only wished it was longer our captain Mathew and crew couldn’t have been more helpful we will definitely be booking another trip thank you very much

Great informative boat trip with the family. We spotted lots of wildlife including Puffins and Seals!

Great customer service, knowledge & humour. My little one was glad of the offered blanket. Lots of wildlife spotted must most importantly a puffin & several seals. Well worth the ticket price, only complaint is time goes quickly.

Brilliant trip, very organised and the service was very friendly they guys on board ship checked with everyone that they were ok and offered blankets if anyone was cold. If you get the opportunity to go on this trip then go, we'll be doing this again! Oh dog's are welcome on board too!!!!

The skipper even changed direction of the boat a few times so we could all get a really good look at the puffins. It was obvious that they both wanted us all to have the best experience. Would highly recommend and would definitely go again.

Had a 3hr fishing trip with our 7 year old and only wished it was longer our captain Mathew and crew couldn’t have been more helpful we will definitely be booking another trip thank you very much

Great informative boat trip with the family. We spotted lots of wildlife including Puffins and Seals!

Great customer service, knowledge & humour. My little one was glad of the offered blanket. Lots of wildlife spotted must most importantly a puffin & several seals. Well worth the ticket price, only complaint is time goes quickly.

Brilliant trip, very organised and the service was very friendly they guys on board ship checked with everyone that they were ok and offered blankets if anyone was cold. If you get the opportunity to go on this trip then go, we'll be doing this again! Oh dog's are welcome on board too!!!!
