All set up for our Christmas party night tonight! Who's coming? 🎄🎉

User

Did you know that Apple crumble is a British pudding similar to the apple crisp that originated during World War II food rationing?
And it is such a big favourite that it forms one of the most popular Christmas desserts instead of Christmas pudding... ours has an oat topping and is served with ice cream and fresh custard.

No partridges in pear trees here, or drummers drumming (well only on party nights) or French hens (we try and keep to local Welsh produce) sometimes we have turtle doves (well only at weddings)... but we do have some lovely gift ideas and gift vouchers for the 12 days of Christmas so do have a look at the website...

We recently had our wedding here and the only word I can describe the whole experience as is excellent.

Sarah and Laura thoroughly looked after us and made our day run so smoothly and the rest of the hotel staff were amazing!

We cannot thank all the staff enough for a day that was perfect and we will never forget! The venue and hotel is stunning, rooms immaculate and the food was spot on!

Could not recommend the hotel highly enough for a break away or a day you will never forget.

User

So my wife’s 50th birthday and the calm after the family party the night before! We arrived mid afternoon and had a light lunch outside before a walk on the beach with our dog-the food was excellent-club sandwich and fries. After our walk we sat outside in the glorious sunshine again on the terrace and had a fabulous meal-champagne, olives, steak, fish and chips-again service was really friendly and efficient in particular Sandra who was very attentive and even arranged a little dessert for the birthday girl as a surprise, nice, classy touch. Lovely hotel with very friendly staff in a great location. Will definitely return!

User

Second visit to the Hotel. Not staying this time just for lunch. We noted a large wedding party there at the same time however staff were great, as was the service. We were allowed to sit outside at the reserved tables until the wedding party required them. Quick and friendly service and good food. Glad we went back.

User

Lovely time spent with the family at The Quay. View from suite of the sea was gorgeous, the spa treatments were very relaxing! Would definitely come again. Location is great near to local bars and restaurants!

User

Lovely spa day and afternoon tea and fizz, scones were amazing. Big shout out to Gareth Patrick for being a true legend and helping us and going that extra mile. A million times better than last time we stayed

User

I would like to thank Quay Hotel, Sarah Roberts, Laura and Team for the amazing service they have provided us. Our wedding was on 02 June 2018 and I can truly say it was perfect, everybody had a great time, food and wine was delicious, everybody was helpful from start to end.

I highly recommend them to anyone that are planning their wedding, they are very reliable and will exceed your expectations.

Thank you very much Everyone!

Had a spa day with my mum, a package for two which included a treatment, use of facilities, lunch and a glass of bubbly. We had a wonderful time. I can highly recommend it. The package was especially good value. The relaxation room was divine. I had a back and neck massage with hot stones, facial and scalp massage. My therapist was Katy and she was fabulous. The lunch was superb, they were happy to substitute my glass of bubbles for a coffee as I was driving. Plus catered fantastically for my dietary requirements. We will definitely go again

User

Excellent location across the bay from Conwy. Bar and restaurant food were very good and the staff were all very attentive. The only negative was in the so called penthouse suites I would have expected some kind of aircon. A fan provided by the hotel Just stirred the warm air around. A minor niggle perhaps..but not conducive to a relaxing nights stay

User

A lovely two night break here. So much so we wanted to stay another night but it was fully booked. We had a lovely suite, excellent hotel. Lovely sitting on the room balcony overlooking the estuary fantastic views of Conwy too. Lunch/bar area and room service were very good, Spa treatments and afternoon tea was good too. Staff all welcoming and friendly breakfast very good. Loved everything about this hotel will be back and would defiantly recommend.

User

I love having a drink on the balcony, we have a boat in the marina, always found the staff pleasant and helpful, few dodgy nights with over indulged wedding guests but all n all a great venue!

User

Beautiful room .great views, very clean . Staff very helpful and friendly . Pool sauna steam room very nice . Food good . It lacks entertainment in the evening nothing going on considering where it is . You have to drive or taxi to Conway . Which is a lovely town. Spoke to a few residents there they agreed what we said .

User

You have a serious issue with the sliding doors leading into the restraunt area; I have previously tripped when walking in to the restraunt area, as you are walking from the light outside to a darker room and there are no warning signs about the plinth in which the sliding door sits. However, recently we visited and my then two-year-old, who had just started potty training was running to the toilet, with my husband - he too tripped on the raised runners of the open door and his tooth went into his lip upon hitting the floor. He was hysterical. There was nobody to provide first aid that I am aware of, we were just offered towels and I was asked to fill in an accident form. One of the waitresses was lovely and prepared some ice cream. Unfortunately we had to cancel our food and head straight to A&E. Thankfully he didn't need any stitches, but he was left with an extremely swollen lip and bruises down the side of his face, three days before his third birthday. Something needs to be done about this hazard before someone's injuries are a lot more serious - what would have happened should an elderly person have the same fall? I would like someone to contact me to assure me that this is being dealt with please.

User

Went with my husband and daughter to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary yesterday, very disappointed in the waiting times in the restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly and food arrived promptly but the wait after really spoiled it for us. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks, when the food arrived we weren’t asked if we would like any sauces and when our plates got taken away we were not asked if we would like dessert, after a long wait I went to the bar to ask for a dessert menu but even then they still never came to take our order. Plenty of waiting staff came to tables around us but never came to ask if we wanted more drinks or any more food. In the end we paid at the bar and left feeling disappointed. We had our wedding here 4 years ago but not sure we would return for celebrations in the future

User

Location is perfect on the waterfront. Really excellent service and and people who work here are very nice and extremely helpful. The room was also very nice over looking the courtyard. Good size and beautiful bathroom. However, there’s no hooks in the bathroom and the layout of the room is a bit weird (tv infront of mirror, wife drying her hair but I can’t see telly, baby ironing board and no where to put it near a power socket, no power sockets by bedsides to charge phones and such like) Dinner was interesting, really enjoyable experience due to the guy serving us, the banter and chat places and things to do in the area but when the food came, well how to explain it, cos there was nothing wrong with it but nothing good either. So plain, boring and lacking. 2 seafood starters from 2 different menus, 1 a dash of crab the other seafood platter is mostly lettuce. Both of us have lamb main. Lamb was chewy and fatty and the veg was just boiled and nothing was seasoned and not enough source. After a visit to the castle we had a little afternoon nap but 5pm and we’re shocked awake by the fire alarm. Phoned reception. No one knows what’s going on. They tell us they’ll get back to us. Alarm stops and we get a call 5mins later saying it was a false alarm but no other explanation than that. Overall we enjoyed our time but we have stayed at better.

User

Disappointed. So looking forward to our spa day. Hotel and staff friendly. Pool area very small. Not alot space to sit or walk round. Jacquzzi didn't work. Felt closterphobic in sauna and steam rooms. Treatment in spa with beauticians fantastic and relaxation room great. Afternoon tea lovely. Wouldn't go back for spa day experience but would consider treatment.

User

Booked the spa day for two of us. It cost us £200 for both, but nobody told us that there was a special offer on and we could have had it quite a bit cheaper. Came out of the treatment room after less time than it was supposed to take and later realised that the head massage had been forgotten. I then had to wait around for somebody else to take me back in for this treatment. Won’t rush back!!!

User

Went on Saturday evening to sit outside and have some food, no table service outside, 1 person serving at the bar, had to wait ages to be served, order our food waited 1 hour to find out the food order hadn’t even gone through, manager offered us 50% off our bill, but when order came the portion size for the £16 couscous which was no more than 3 tablespoons and 1 beetroot chopped up, and 10 chips in a tea cup £4 was awful, and we weren’t the only ones complaining that evening, the deganwy quay needs to sort itself out such a lovely location, definitely not 4*!!!!

User

The spa treatment was wonderful. I felt pampered and relaxed. But I booked explaining my dietary requirements. I have been extremely ill following my lunch. A coeliac should not be offered vinegar! My first red flag! I should have questioned everything else on my plate following that question! Lesson learned. Please train your staff on dietary requirements of a gluten free/wheat free diet. As well as the risks of cross contamination.

User

Would not at all recommend, the food is not at all worth £35 was dry and tasted hurrendus and the staff are so rude and need to learn how to treat customers. Also the speakers are shocking for such an expensive place couldn’t even hear the music all night and was constantly asking the staff to turn it up which they apparently couldn’t as were weren’t at a disco with a dj and was in a restaurant some sort of prom that is. would not at all recommend. Ruined my night. Not worth all the money spent and ruined the last night I will spend with my year.
