1) PIGMENTED Pigmented type appears as infraorbital brown hue, sometimes associated with pigmented lesions such as solar lentigines, freckles, melasma, or nevus zygomaticus
2) VASCULAR Vascular type appears as infraorbital blue, pink, or purple hue with or without periorbital puffiness or edema
3) STRUCTURAL Structural type appears as structural shadows formed by facial anatomic surface contours that disappear after illuminating with front light. It may be mixed with infraorbital palpebral bags, infraorbital grooves, blepharoptosis, and loss of fat or soft tissue volume with bony prominence
