We're enjoying big tides at the moment. Here Skipper Christian is having to drive forwards at 8-10mph just to stay still at Swellie Rock. At low tide (6 hours 12 minutes earlier/later) this rock produces a standing wave of such power that local kayakers surf it!

Dolphin joined one of our tours yesterday. This morning we've heard of a group at Llanddwyn Island so riders on our Castles and Island tour might get lucky! (sightings have been reported)

On Thursday 28 March 2019 the RibRide team made a ‘Round Anglesey Record’ attempt in one hour one minute and 16 sec. Starting and finishing at Beaumaris Pier, Skipper Charles was at the helm with Skipper Phil as navigator. The distance was 65 Nautical Miles at an average speed of 61 Knots. It is hoped that this record will be ratified by the British Power Boat Association OCRDA and the Union Internationale Motonautique.

Went on the rib ride today!!! It was fantastic!! Great tour and an amazing guide!! Learnt a fair few things today as well as enjoying jetting down the straights in a 350bhp V8 engine may I add ��� 10/10 defo booking another.



Me the wife and kids aged 8,6,4 went on so suits all ages. The kids loved it!!

We went on the Velocity new boat. Really brilliant. Smooth and fast and lots of fun. Smiles all around. Another 5* review to add to the >1000 already on Trip Advisor - would def recommend

Was absolutely amazing and loved it. Got to see puffin Island and all the wildlife and Mike was great telling us all the information and did us proud when we ask for fun ride and did donuts etc � thank you

This morning we took the Rib ride along the menai straits, passed beaumaris to Puffin Island. The weather wasn't the best, very wet and a bit windy but this did not dampen the experience, in fact it made it more enjoyable! We sat at the back of the Rib and had the odd splash which was great! Our skipper Christian was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable on the local areas. The scenery was outstanding and we seen an array of sea birds and seals. The highlight of the trip was the last stretch home when we were lucky enough to see a dolphin close up to the rib! All in all an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone! Thank you!

The wife and I went on the Bridges and Swellies rib ride today and what a fantastic experience, Jason our skipper, very knowledgeable and made the trip fun as well, would thoroughly recommend a rib ride, we liked it so much we've booked to go on Velocity.

The whole team at Ribride are true professionals. We were greeted with smiles and enthusiasm, these guys Rock. I'm sure they have had a busy summer, yet we were made to feel valued, no egos, just great customer service. The ride itself was so much fun. It was the cherry on the top of a fantastic weekend in Wales, celebrating our Son's 21st. Thank you guys. A special thank you to Christian , our captain of Velocity, you're a star. We will be back.

Thanks to Jo Quinney for organising our trip and to our skipper Christian for looking after us. Velocity is an extraordinary experience of a most magnificent piece of machinery. Hugely recommended. Thanks again.

Thanks to Jason, for an exhilarating trip on 30th July. Being surrounded by dolphins for the first half hour was spectacular, and the rest of our 3 hour trip was truly amazing. Steph, and the whole family had a great time. Thank you again Jason, for your fun and informative attention throughout the day.

Me, my wife and our 5year old totally loved our rib ride out to puffin island today.

Our skipper ‘Trigger’ was great, very informative and certainly knew how to throw the boat around, when it came to doing high speed turns, and donuts on our way back to Menai Bridge.

We saw plenty of puffins, guillemots, razorbills, some rather inquisitive seals and even a porpoise.

If and when we’re next in the area, we’ll most definitely be out on a RibRide again.

If only our little one was old enough for the Velocity boat, 900hp/70-80knots sounds bonkers and right up our street!

It’s a shame we can’t give more than 5 stars.

I’v been on the Rib Ride many times since it first started doing trips and have taken family and friends on it too. It’s always been a thrilling trip out and I have always loved the whole experience, but today rewrote the record books as I went on their new all singing all dancing boat VELOCITY and was literally blown away by it.

This is no ordinary Rib, this is the Creme de la Creme of Ribs, I’m totally sold so much so my next trip is already booked.

This boat is fast and skims the water making it an amazingly exhilarating smooth ride, the seats are snug and comfy and fit your body shape no matter what size or shape you are.

You get a full overall type suit to slip on and a life jacket which is also comfy, easy to put on and doesn’t make you feel like a trussed chicken.

A Safety talk was given and off we went with Tom our skipper and boy can he handle this boat well, felt completely safe the whole trip.

I urge everyone out there to get yourselves booked on this trip because I can see it becoming so popular there’s gonna be a waiting list pretty soon, I’m looking forward to my next trip already, thanks Rib Ride for a great trip.

It was my second ride - did bridges last time but castles and islands this time. Very supportive staff getting us ready for the trip, informative talk during it, humorous too! Wonderful to see Snowdonia, Caernarfon castle, Plas Newydd from the Straits as well as the two bridges. We even saw comerants, curlew, oyster catchers and a seal. Can't wait to so Puffin island next time. Highly recommended.

Had a fabulous Puffin Island Rib Ride today! The sights were amazing and our skipper Sam was very informative and kept up thoroughly entertained!!

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it, we all loved it! Thanks so much xx

Great fun tour of the strait this morning with Trig. Really informative for the old ones and fast, fun and just the right amount of doughnuts for the younger ones in our group! � Highly recommended.

Even though the weather wasn't the best this was the best rib ride I've don't so far.



Only managed to see one Puffin but it was great to see the seals round the back of the Island.



I booked the trip for me and my 4 year old son after seeing videos of the dolphins following the ribs earlier in the week. It didn't look like we're in luck but I want to say a big thank you to Christian for believing me when I said I'd spotted a small pod of dolphins. Even though we were running late and heading back he kindly turned the boat around and we were lucky enough to see about 3 or 4 dolphins close up.



It made an already top day perfect and my son was chuffed to bits.

Booked the velocity rib ride last minute and it did not disappoint! Amazing ride and so much fun. All the staff from the desk to the skippers were lovely, perfect experience!

Absolutely brilliant ride! Went out Saturday morning with Christian! From beginning to end the whole experience was amazing! Christian was informative,friendly and professional and at all times the safety of his passengers and wildlife was paramount! We were lucky enough to see puffins, gannets, seals and dolphins! I cannot fault the trip!

Absolutely amazing experience would defiantly recommend Christian who took us out on the boat made us feel very safe and comfortable ��
