Thank you to all those who shared our post regarding the stolen laptop. Through friends and social media we have a name of a man who matches the description and the area he lives in. We have taken all this information to the police... they have stated that the man we named is known to them and does match the description my husband gave them.
However the police have been unable to take my husbands statement as apparently there is not enough evidence. Because they haven’t take...n a statement they will not show my husband photos of people known to match the description in order to positively identify him because of data protection. They have also made no attempt to collect any of the CCTV in the area. When confronted by my husband about their lack of action they simply stated that Risca is a small station and doesn’t have the man power available.
This is extremely frustrating! It may just be a laptop but it was important to my husbands business and is very expensive to replace! We feel we have done the bulk of the work and basically handed the police the name of the person who did it and still they will not do anything! What are we supposed to do?

Today at 12:15 a man walked into our shop in Risca and when my husbands back was turned he grabbed his Apple MacBook Air 12.5” laptop and ran out where a car was waiting for him. If anyone knows or saw anything please get in touch! And please share!
