Rivercatcher Luxury Holiday Cottages Description
Luxury Holiday cottages in the heart of the Welsh country side on the banks of the River Dee. With stunning views in all directions this will be a truly unique place to stay. Our collection of luxury self-catering cottages will be ideal for a romantic escape or a large family group getaway.
Rivercatcher’s collection contains five stunning cottages, one each of a one-bed, two-bed, three-bed, four-bed and five-bed, plus a function room. (The Lodge) The Lodge will become a place for special events and course as well as a fully equipped games room for a little indoor entertainment on those rainy days. Each luxury cottage will be let individually or as a collection, with accommodation for up to 30 guests at any one time.
We love dogs and welcome them along to all of our cottages.
Families are catered for with baby essential and toddler packs available for your on arrival.

Embrace the festive season by joining our first wreath making workshop at Rivercatcher. Sioned Rowlands from Tulip floral designs, Ruthin will teach you how to make a festive wreath. Sioned also presents a Welsh gardening programme on S4C and holds regular flower design courses.
You will create your own garden inspired wreath using woodland materials, scented festive foliage, berries, fruit and luxurious velvet ribbon, perfect to adorn and welcome guests over the Christmas period. Festive refreshments of mulled wine and mince pies will be served.
Event will last 2hrs.

These cabins are delightful. A perfect bolthole for a long weekend - comfy, light, warm, well equipped, beautiful outlook, lashings of hot water and a fabulous hot tub. Llandrillo is a great base for exploring the surrounding area whilst staying some where lovely and quiet. Some good and varied options for eating nearby and great walking from the doorstep. All dealings with the owners were good and we would love to return as a larger group and try one of the other properties.

Best Weekend Break Ever! I honestly can't fault our stay here at the Rivercatcher it was perfect in every way. We love that it had a hot tub and that the place is dog friendly. ... The garden was all secure so our puppy could run around as much as he wanted. Little local pub down the round, lovely food and staff very welcoming. Lots of walks and activities near by all with lovely views. We can't wait to visit again and stay for a full week this time :)

Where do I begin? It’s the cutest little cottage on the loveliest complex surrounded by fantastic views and adorable lambs! Located in the middle of nowhere it’s peaceful and serene! Would we return yes!!! Would we recommend yes!! We arrived to a welcome basket containing bread, jam, butter, biscuits and cooking oil. There was also a bottle of prosecco awaiting and a congratulations card as it was our honeymoon which was such a lovely touch. It’s big enough for 2 people without being cramped and is kitted out to meet your needs. Robes, towels, basic provisions, games and utensils in the kitchen all there.
The owner was lovely and showed us around the new builds where we plan on returning to stay at. There was literally nothing wrong with the place. Power shower, nicely sized bath for 2 to fit in , hot tub easy to use with amazing views I mean what else could you ask for!!
What a lovely accommodation and location, though we did choose as we were attending a wedding venue near by it could not of been better made a long weekend of it and it added to a memorable

Unbeknown to me, my family had planned a surprise visit from them all to stay the first week end of our holiday, what was going to be a holiday for four turned into a group holiday for twenty five. Jen and her team could not have been more helpful. All the cottages were delightful and the hot tubs were a huge hit with the family. We used all the facilities in the games room as well has having two family meals in there to. There is as little or has much as you wish to do in the surrounding areas so the cottages are an ideal base. A special thanks go's to Alid for being very helpful and of course we all had a laugh or two with him. Thank you all one and all for making my birthday so special. Here's to looking at dates for the next visit.

WOW!!! what a beautiful place, we had such a wonderful time at River Catcher. The accommodation was exceptional and all the little extras were such a lovely touch, we didn't need anything! Already thinking when we can return maybe with more of the family next time :). My husband enjoyed fishing, but unfortunately didn't catch anything, both dogs adored the garden and loved running around. Thank you x

The cottages are absolutely beautiful. They are well equipped, with lovely en suite shower/bathrooms. The views are lovely, sitting in the hot tub with a glass of prosecco is magical, even with the wind and rain. Just visited for the third time, will definitely be back!
The Gazellig log cabin is truly stunning inside and out. Everything has been chosen and designed with apparently no expense spared.
We loved the location, the view, the hot tub and swing. We also enjoyed fabulous wall to wall sunshine during the bank holiday weekend.
The ONLY problem for us was not having blinds at the top section of the massive windows. Consequently, we woke unpleasantly early.
Stayed for my 21st Birthday.Can happily say i will be back next year. I cant fault this cottage everything was lovely , the washers and dryers are free which is an extra bonus.You are in the heart of everything we recommend you go to Llandudno its 1 hour from the cottage which is a perfect day ouy!.
We stayed in the flyfisher cottage.
If you like wildlife stay in this cottage we were sat outside watching the otters playing in the river which was lovely to watch them fish . By far the best experience so far. We will be back!.

The cottage was fantastic, the gardens lovely and the cracking River at the bottom of the garden where you can throw a line. There are some great places to dine near by if you can't be bothered to cook, then get back to cottage for a relax in the hot tub. Really looking forward to May. ❤️�
Just returned from a few days at Rivercatcher, (we stayed in Ghillies Cottage). I can honestly say that our trip was amazing from start to finish. The cottage is literally a home away from home and beautifully decorated. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and the things left for our dog was unexpected and extremely thoughtful. There isn't a thing that hasn't been thought of in this place and we will definitely be returning soon. Thank you for a lovely stay :)
Every year we try to get away with our 4 grown up children, their partners and 4 dogs! It takes a lot of research. I’m so glad I found Rivercatcher. Both the cottages we rented were superb - Flyfisher and Shepherds. I particularly liked how private the space was to each cottage even though the complex is quite compact.
A great time was had by all and I have already recommended it to friends

Beautiful cottage in a stunning setting. The cottage was comfy and welcoming and the hot tub was perfect. The owners had thought of everything we could need to make our holiday great, they were so accomodating and helpful. An absolute gem of a place. Yes, we were incredibly lucky with the weather nonetheless from the moment we arrived at the beautiful Ghillies Cottage we were in for a treat. Real luxury; and dog friendly too - a great spec inside and out. Rivercatcher cottages are set in an idyllic spot, right on the river. It’s really secluded and noticeably peaceful. We will definitely be back. A lovely little romantic hideaway. Thanks again to Jen, Andy and your team, especially Aled who was always around with helpful tips and a big smile - creating a really genuine and welcoming atmosphere.

Absolutely Fabulous Stay! We booked this for my birthday weekend. Brand new log cabins, dog friendly with a hot tub. The cabins have been well thought out, are beautifully appointed and very comfortable and have all the cooking equipment you require in a self catering unit. The only place I have ever stayed in with brand new sharp knives and I like to cook, even when on holiday.
Our dogs received a welcome pack which included a fleece blanket each for their stay, a bowl and a tennis ball each - very happy dogs! They also supplied poo bags.
We received a welcome pack as well which my husband enjoyed as I am gluten/wheat intolerant so was unable to enjoy anything (other than the wine!).
Jen and Andy and the team have thought of everything and we wish them well for future bookings. We will definately be back at some stage.
