Where is the food prepared?

We at RouseRengert Cuisine pride ourselves in our fully fitted mobile commercial kitchen. Leaving you to come and go at will. Leaving us to create your perfect occasion no matter where it is

How many people can I have at my dinner party?
We are specialists in small, bespoke dinner parties, generally up to 15 people. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

What will my chef cook for me and my guests?
Simply put, whatever you like! Our professional chef is very experienced and can cater for a wide variety of tastes and dietary requirements. We have a range of menus to give you inspiration or you can tell us if you have something particular in mind. Most guests will have the same meal, however if one or more guest has a special dietary requirement, we will discuss an alternative menu especially for them with you.

What if I don’t have many fancy cooking gadgets in my kitchen?
Don’t worry! We’ll discuss what you do have and if something vital is missing, your chef will bring it along on the day.

Who will serve the food and do the washing up?
Your Host will serve the meal. Your chef will take care of washing the dishes and pans( in our kitchen so you don’t need to worry about a thing) If there are 8 or more people dining, we provide a waiter or waitress to help serve your meal and pour drinks.

Do you provide crockery, cutlery, glasses and linen?
We prefer to use our crockery. There is no extra charge for this service (up to 15 covers), which will be discussed on booking.

Do you lay the table?
We prepare the table before service as part of the bespoke restaurant quality experience. This will be discussed in the consultation after booking.

How do I pay for my dinner party?
We will email you an invoice and take payment by bank transfer. We ask you for full payment in advance to secure the date for your booking. If you book several months in advance, we ask for a 50% deposit and the remaining payment 14 days in advance of the date of your dinner party.

How much does a dinner party cost?
Contact us for a bespoke quote for your dinner party. The cost depends on how many guests you have, your menu and your location. Our prices range from £60-£150 + VAT per person for a 3 course meal, including your chef, the host and (a waiter if there are more than 8 people dining with an additional fee) and all the food. You can provide your own alcohol and we’re happy to make wine match suggestions, but we also supply alcohol and will be happy to purchase wines and spirits of your choice to compliment the food. Special menus can be created and circulated with complimentary drink selections prior to your event.

I need a chef to cook for a dinner party at very short notice. Can you help?
We generally need you to book at least 10 days in advance of your dinner party date. However, occasionally we may be able to help at short notice. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

I live outside of London. Can you still send a chef to cook for my dinner party?
We serve London postcodes (W, WC, E, EC, N, NW, SW, SE) but also if you live outside of this area we offer a nationwide service. Please contact us to discuss your requirements. (Depending on distance to travel there will be an additional mileage fee)

I’d like a chef to cook for me on Christmas Day / New Year’s Eve / New Year’s Day. Can you help?
We are available on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, but we are closed on Christmas Day. Please note that a surcharge applies on all bank holidays and on New Year’s Eve.

Professional chef in your kitchen

Our private Executive chef /Director Charles Rouse is highly qualified with over 25 years professional experience and is passionate about the food.

He has worked for a lot of famous chefs including head chef to Michael Andrew Caines MBE, senior CDP to Heston Blumenthal and senior sous chef to Stephen Terry. Which is just part of his Working life as a Chef. Charles Rouse has come from a 3 Rosette, 1 Michelin star background.

Charles started in the catering trade at 14 years old as Kitchen porter, there he went on to train as a chef and qualified whilst he was 3rd chef in a 3 rosette hotel in Exeter.

Charles then went on to become head chef by the time he was 21 years getting head hunted for a role in a 3 rosette hotel as head chef where he held the rosettes for 3 years. Here he learned about the importance of excellence and consistency that has become his trademark.

Charles’s career path took him to become head chef for master chef for 5 years and at this point decided to change all together and became a temporary chef a self-employed basis giving him freedom to select his next opportunities. This is where he worked with some reputable and celebrity chef’s and gained e recognition for his culinary talents.

This journey has brought Charles Rouse to creating RouseRengert an exclusive chef at home service for those that want to experience the best in dining at home. This venture was borne from the pairing of himself and Uta Rengert who runs front of house at all the functions. The partnership works brilliantly with such creativity, warmth, flair, professionalism and precision.
