Always had good experiences as a patient here. Brilliant in A&E with both my wife and 85 year old mum

Staff are lovely and the hospital is clean. Only downside is the lack of space in some clinics

Good hospital. Not giving 5* because of slow A&E and the fact that through the NHS you have to wait for months to see a Consultant or to get treatment.

Four hour wait just to be reprimanded and sent home.
If you're not going to treat me, just send me home at the start!
I went in knowing I had at least got heatstroke from camping over the weekend (onsite first aider diagnosed me) and was concerned by my extreme stomach cramps (between 8 and 10 on their scale of pain that they ask for) and wanted to check they were nothing more malevolent before my five hour drive home.
I have never felt so disrespected and belittled by medical staff as I did today.
Disgusting.

During my time receiving antenatal care and having my son at this hospital by elective c section lies were told to children's services about me 'breastfeeding my partner on the ward' and about my eldest son being 'inadequately dressed and unsupervised'. Drama ensued and me and my family were subject to degrading and inhumane treatment. I was ordered to have my bay curtains all the way open at all times on a busy ward otherwise my baby would be removed from my care. I have never once injured or neglected any one of my children. I was forced to live like this for 5 days and nights with very little sleep and with my partner banned from visiting. On the 3rd night I began hallucinating due to sleep deprivation and my baby was taken and held in another part of the hospital. I was forced to travel down to the NICU at every feed and I had to be supervised. Not only this but my c section was both unnecessary and botched. Dr Nadia Bahl told me that I had a thin previous c section scar and that scar pain wasn't normal. I was advised to deliver at 37 weeks despite the risk so I refused and opted to deliver at 39. I was denied an EVC to attempt to turn my breech baby. During the actual surgery it was discovered that my previous c section scar wasn't what would be classed as thin and that an EVC and if successful followed by a vbac would have likely been safe. The surgeon left a small flap of skin hanging on the outside of my c section incision. It has gone septic and is currently being treated with antibiotics and will need correcting. This whole experience has been hell on Earth for me and my family. We will forever be traumatized after all this. Our human rights and rights to informed consent were severely abused. I WILL be suing when I have finished cleaning up the mess with children's services.

I worked for this Trust. Blew the whistle on illegal activity. Lost my job as a result. Lost my career when Mrs Pauline Dorrington with the support of the Trust created false records about my employment. Have been working since to expose the truth and to bring to justice those responsible for illegal conduct. For the protection of patients, staff and the public.

I went to see an out of hours GP at RGH - great service - and was referred to surgery via A&E. I had to wait about 5 hours until the early hours to be seen. The waiting room was cold - doors open and no heating - and the seats were hard cold metal. I was chilled and vomiting. However, on the plus side, when I was taken through, my surgeon, a registrar, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten, was excellent. She listened, was focused, and did everything she could to get me all the tests I needed while providing alleviating medication. The conditions were far from ideal and it must be very hard to give that service under those conditions. Five stars for her.
