Lovely place to stay. Very accommodating, especially with our dogs. Lovely hotel and the food is great. Well worth a stay.

Very friendly staff on arrival, asked if our room had a view which we was told it had, but the view was at the back looking on to the roof and fire escape so a bit disappointed. The room was very dated, L shaped and old pine furniture, tiny T.V. that was some distance from the bed, only one bedside table, mint tea bags put with ordinary tea bag's which made all the teabags taste of mint, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice and both rooms clean, the fur pillow and throw didn't seem as fresh as it should....Breakfast was really nice, the tall waiter(he might be the head waiter) was lovely, very pleasant and couldn't do enough for you lovely man, ...Bar staff, I asked for a glass of wine and it was poured out the back by the barmaid, never saw the bottle which I found strange, Always pour in front of the customer, Next night asked the barman to pour in front of us which he did and got the bottle out of the cooler in the bar and he was very pleasant, Most of the staff was lovely, one didn't come across very friendly but would like to think she had a bad couple of off day's or she's had enough, all in all not a bad place, got some history to it and it's clean, lovely little village. Paying the bill wasn't very friendly either( same girl who poured the wine) no "good by," thankyou for your stay or have a safe journey, just checked you out, shame really because those things people remember, going to give 3 star because I feel wrong to give more.

Nice hotel, but what really did it for me was the food... the chef really did put a huge deal of effort into making the food not only taste amazing but look stunning too!

Had the braised beef and it was very nice. Mashed potato complimented it wonderfully. The chips were too lightly fried for my partner but I enjoyed them. Not a large dining area but nice surroundings and nice windows for natural light to enter

A lovely position for an hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable, shower in top room no hot water! Breakfast was fabulous, staff very friendly and seem to do everything. Evening meal was ok most nights, we stayed for 4.Coffee needs to be changed to a different drinkable brand. Other than that, would recommend this hotel, just taken over very recently. Thanks Royal Goat staff.

Only place open past 8.30pm. Lovely local ale and great streak, especially good after a day walking up and down mount snowdon! Highly recommended.

Snuck in for a quick pint and this is a lovely friendly place. Stayed for dessert, just as the menu was super tempting! Recommended.

Went for coffee at 1030. Walked in and asked lady at reception and she said yes go through and someone will be with you in A minute. Went through sat on some nice sofas nr the bar. 5 mins later a tall blonde bar man came through. Not in a polite way said no drinks till 11. We nearly walked out but wish we had. He was at the bar the while time. Then at 11 took our coffee order. Two of the coffees were cold. The hot chocolates were nice but for the expense would like a small biscuits. Also if you serve coffee in long glasses you should give long spoons. As the spoons you got were small so when you stir you have to put your fingers in the drink to get to the bottom
